Greetings!

To meet the changing needs of 21st-century learners, C&E Publishing, Inc. has continuously strived to provide learning
materials that are relevant as well as adaptive. We have made it our goal to cater to the evolving demands and
preferences of the K to 12 and Higher Education sectors by producing resources that remain responsive and up-to-
date.

Doing so has placed us at the forefront of the industry for nearly 30 years; we then continue to fortify our efforts to
remain in this position by offering valuable solutions and services for our partner institutions. Under this endeavor, C&E
has partnered with foreign platform providers, allowing greater access to learning materials for both online and offline
modalities. This year, C&E has entered into an agreement with its latest international partner, Perlego.

Perlego is an online platform that serves as a digital library for K to 12 and Higher Education students. True to its
commitment to making learning inclusive, open, and equitable, the founders of Perlego have commissioned publishers
worldwide to contribute to their continuously growing collection of textbooks in the field of Science, Mathematics,
Social Sciences, Business, and Humanities. Perlego houses the works of Taylor and Francis, Wiley, Springer
International Publishing, Sage Publication, UNESCO, and more. Hence, it would be a great opportunity for locally-
published textbooks to be available on the Perlego platform. Therefore, C&E would like to formally request your
approval to include your textbook in the collection of Perlego:

Relative to offering the C&E-published textbooks as a collection, C&E hereby informs authors in advance that because
of the business model and the standard contract of Perlego, there will be changes to the royalty computation of C&E
Textbooks under the Perlego platform. Table 2 shows the simplified comparison.

A separate Sales Report will be provided by C&E to the authors for the sales generated from Perlego.

C&E’s Product Division has selected this published book since we believe it can benefit students worldwide and make
education accessible to everyone. In addition, the works of C&E authors will gain more visibility in the market and
among educators—a beneficial approach for C&E authors to gain more profitability. With Perlego being a highly
accessible platform, this is also an initiative taken by C&E to prevent the piracy of textbooks.
