The Department of Logic & Citizenship is comprised of subjects classified under social sciences
and otherwise called “Art Subjects”. Their proper dispensation requires articulate lectures and
various hands-on activities for heightened and optimal learning experiences of learners. The
following requirements will facilitate and optimise teaching/learning activities in the Department.
a.) Charts, models, samples and pictures of real situations of the various subjects.
c.) A multimedia centre with internet connection for teachers and students.
d.) Provision for fieldtrips to enable real world immersion experiences of learners to some
lesson content.

During the just elapsed 2019/2020 school year, a number of challenges significantly impaired
performance:
- Students should acquire at least the lone text books per subject prescribed on the official book
list;
- Close follow up of students by teachers and administration to ensure more assiduity and
discipline;
- Cautioning parents during PTA meetings on the importance of buying textbooks for their
children as well as following them up at home to ensure that they do their homework and revise
their lessons;
- Request more support from administration in terms of assistance to attend seminars,
workshops and organising field trips.
In view of the limitations of last academic year, members of department decided as follows:
- To keep in touch with parents and advise them on how to follow up and assist their children at
home in educational matters;
- Create more departmental forums for exchange of experiences and mutual support of staff
members.
