Why Excuse is much worse and terrible than a Lie…

If the title is quite familiar to you or already heard it somewhere, then

you must know who quoted it. Alexander Pope is an English poet who
quotes “an excuse is much worse and terrible than a lie” , people might
argue that a lie is much worse than an excuse beacause of the betrayals;
yet there are people who pretext their statement— false reason or what
you call an excuse.
When you’re late at online class because you slept in, what will you say
the truth, a lie or an excuse?
Usually when you’re lying to make people believe on something
impossible, like you saw Mcdo and Wendy’s dating, making someone
believe to the untrue to gain benefit seems so terrible for a person to hear
and see (then proceed to use white lies in occasions, the irony),but it
doesn’t mean a liar will never be caught. Yet making an excuse is much
worse because it requires evidence and reasons in short—planned and
play pretend on the situation to make your excuse much believable and
get people believe and hooked. When you use an excuse it’s not only the
reciver of your excuse would be tricked, yourelf aswell, Why?— you
make an excuse for a person to believe in it and to make it belivable you
need to make yourself belive that your excuse is Ok it’s not straight-out
lying and you’re not trying to make a shorcut of the situation therefor
you’re not just simply lying to yourself and to everyone but just making
and using an excuse.
Your classmate asked you to join their trip but you already agreed to
your friends you’ll join them on their picnic, so you told your classmate
“your sick, maybe next time’, not quite believable is it, then you’ll
proceed to send a photo of you looking sick or tired then ofcourse they
will believe and accept that excuse
In conclusionwhen you look at it an excuse didn’t sound so bad as it
seems,yet that is the reason it’s much worser and terrible because “for
an excuse is a lie guarded” qouted by Pope John II. Making you believe
they are harmless, excuse makes you lie to everyone and manipulate
scenarios to what and not suppose to happen and specially you’re lying
and trying to yourself for an excuse to be created.
And to clarify the differences, if you receive or give a excuse which
contains medical and serious ones that can be call abscence note or
excuse letter,completely different from this reason
