dancing :>* *song stops*

So as you all know it’s already 2 in the afternoon and maybe some of us are secretly yawning there bcos
they are sleepy and what we did seconds ago is just our afternoon exercise, also mind you everyone that
we all know all the group reporters are preparing activities but we also want everyone to participate in
recitation, to ensure that everyone is listening. And now let us proceed with our introduction, not only

MARIELL: That’s all for our introduction. But why are we called the Paro Paro G reporters? Paano nga b
natin nakuha yung group name natin, Paro Paro A, Allyson?

ALLYSON: Okay so as everyone knows our topic is about the one act play entitled “the dancers” so just a
while ago Paro paro M, Mariell, we became the dancers right?

MARIELL: ohhh oo nga, that was the reason behind our short production number

ALLYSON: I suggested the group theme which is about the dancers and the group name was suggested
by Paro paro N, Nicolas Aliyah

ALIYAH: Hello, and yes I suggested the name Paro Paro G, but moving on… Lets start our discussion for
today. To start with the one act play that we are going to elaborate today. *read from the dancers to
writers for children* So Alberto Florentino po, our author’s nationality here is Filipino po and please take
note of that. Who had contributed much to Philippine literature as author, playwright, publisher, and
teacher. Speaking of Literature, kindly please continue Paro Paro R, Ron.

RON: *read Literature to native culture* So importante po ung Literature because it mirror things that
are happening or have happened withing a society. Katulad po ng nakalagay dito, we gain insights about
history, traditions so every nation po kasi ay may unique na culture, history at tradition. Simply,
Literature is describing something that is sometimes written or spoken. So what if there is no Literature?
What would happen, paro paro H, nur Hussein?

NUR: what if there’s no literature? Kayo guys what do you think? Who wants to answer?

DANIELLE: so as said a while ago, Literature is describing something that is sometimes written or spoken.
Yung mga ginagawa or mga nagawa daw natin ay namimirror sa pamamagitan ng Literature. Now what
do you think if there is no Literature? Raise your hands if you want to answer

*calls someone to answer* *done answering*

NUR: okay thank you (name of student) that is right. Kasi for us we think that, earth will be a terrible
place. Why? The world would be very disconnected, because literature was and is used to connect
peoples of all times and places. Literature is a source of entertainment, self-education, repository of
culture, also a great source of history. We would have seriously been handicapped if literature wouldn't
have been there.

MARIELL: Now let’s discuss the author of “the dancers” who served our literature *read the alberto
Florentino to choral groups*

CHRISTIAN: *read the young bert to oli impan*

ALLYSON: so alberto Florentino or also known as bert, he is a playwright and book publisher. For
everyone’s information, the genre of his plays in English center on the conflicts in the everyday lives of
ordinary filipinos. He has written more than 50 plays for stage and more than 100 for television.

ALIYAH: Before we proceed with our story discussion, let us start with an activity. Everyone is allowed to
answer as long as they raise their hands, if you get called and unfortunately that your answer is wrong,
you’ll be given a chance but if you lost that one chance, we’ll call another student.

MARIELL: Okay, Our activity is entitled “guess the word” it is very easy, you will see 3 pictures that
describes the word and you’ll also see the definition of that word. Kayang Kaya niyo ‘to guys! We will be
fairly calling student, if you have answered the previous question, we cannot call you again unless we
have no choice.

CHRISTIAN: ok, 1st item, read and answer the question, who would like to answer? *calls someone*
malalaman mo if tama or mali pag nagpasound effects na q (if mali ung sagot: okay last chance for you
read it again and state your answer) (if tama naman: okay correct! Pls reveal the answer. Thankyou
name of student called.)
*done answering* *until last item ka Christian :>*

KURT: What you answered a while ago is about the one act play that we’re going to discuss. Family,
Responsibilities, Culture, Filipinos and Poverty. Literary that is the theme of the story. *read the whole
sldie*

ALLYSON: So about the story, *read the whole slide*

ALIYAH: *read and explain the characters* alam mo na ‘yan, basta ung kay elena explanation is: She was
the one trying to provoke Juanito but Juanito provoke her back calling her harlot which means
‘prostiture’ and run away crying

JARED: *read the plot/summary*

ALIZA: *read the rising action* so dito po nagstart yung conflict, kung saan medyo nagagalit at di sila
nagkakaintindihan because tony and the mother is opposing the father’s idea na pagtrabahuhin si
families. Next po, *read the falling action* so this part is when nagaalisan na ung members of the family,
there was actually no exact resolution but the falling action where the conflict starts to fall down is this
part. So sa last is talagang napadasal at napatanong nalang si Mother kay Lord

MARIELL: For the moral lesson, we have a lot pero isa isahin natin ung opinion ng bawat members from
the group *read the moral* Some of us know what poverty feels and climbing those hills is not easy,
therefore, we can’t say what people can do just to survive and feed their families

ALLYSON: another from my opinion, *read the slide* so ayon po, make the bonding strong and
communication strong to avoid problems. My opinion here is that, the don’t listen to each other kasi
that’s why they get to have family fights often po.

KURT: last moral lesson that we are gonna share, *read the slide*

DANIELLE: does somebody wants to add moral lesson? Aside from, the power of choice, knowing what is
right and wrong, strong family communication and fulfilling roles and responsibilities. Raise your hands if
you want to answer *kunwari may mga sumagot pa* Okay let’s move on to the following questions

(Sa follow up questions may specific na sagot so pwedeng kahit sino sainyo ay pumili ng isang friend
para sumagot)

 1st question answer: No, because he dosen’t work. He always reason out that he is already old
although it was stated there that the mother is one year older than him but she is still working.
Therefore, the father still have the opportunity to work but he’s just so lazy.
 2nd answer: Yes. It may not be stated in the story but I based it on the theme of the story. And
that is the main reason why he didn’t want to go with her sister anymore
 3rd answer: I would recommend the play because it has a lesson that is worth treasuring and
the story itself is very touching and heartbreaking. It gives people the idea of what can a
member of a poor family sacrifice for the betterment of their lives.

MARIELL: Thankyou for participating, overall the story was good. Although the ending wasn’t stated in
our book and we actually don’t know how they resolved the problems. But that’s not only the point, it
just states the reality that every filipino families is experiencing which is nangyayari parin ngayon. Then
moving on with the unfamiliar words.

calling student, if you have answered the previous question, we cannot call you again unless we have no
choice.

KURT: : ok, 1st item, read and answer the question, who would like to answer? *calls someone*
malalaman mo if tama or mali pag nagpasound effects na q (if mali ung sagot: okay last chance for you
read it again and state your answer) (if tama naman: okay correct! Pls reveal the answer. Thankyou
name of student called.)

*done answering* *until last item ka Kurt :>*

MARIELL: we are now done with our Literature, next will be the grammar. *read the slide*

RON: *read until an author to about a topic* For example if his purpose is to amuse or entertain, he will
use jokes, anecdotes in his writing. Like the one on the slide, anecdotes and transcript monologue. So
based on the picture example of anecdote, do you remember what is anecdote?

(answer should be: anecdote is a short amusing story example po, he was a heavy smoker but lived 90
years, therefore, smoking is not harmful.)

MARIELL: and then let’s read the transcript monologue here, *read the picture* so the speaker is
basically observe himself then predicts what other people will say. And that is the funny part, because
you, yourself, is stating the hurtful facts

ALLYSON: Okay next, before we proceed, *reads the question* raise your hands if you want to answer
*3 lang tatawagin mo* p.s. always say Thankyou name of student called.

JARED: *read the slide* just remember the underlined words, so what do they mean?

ALIYAH: *read it with feelings nalang* simply narrative writing is storytelling

NUR: *read the text * here are examples, the short story of ‘the light at the end of the day’ then the
