leaving negative space in the
rest of the photograph,
creating a well balanced
image.

framed in the image and positioned by the
photographer to draw the viewer’s eye to the
focus subject.
 Symmetry

Symmetry and Vertical symmetry is where to

halves of an image hold the same weight
and balance, making each side equal. This
makes the image look clean and tidy.
