and possibilities that Kuiper Station could offer. Flyers

were distributed to our target market to attract more

customers.

IV.

Marketing Plan

a. Competitive Analysis

When it comes to pricing, the entrepreneur should

consider the ability of the customer to make purchases,

particularly during this point in time. The majority of our

target customers are students and science enthusiasts, which

means they are looking for affordable yet high-quality

learning materials to gain knowledge regarding Science. We

consider our product as one of a kind since it doesn’t only

give entertainment to our costumers but also a way to

acquire knowledge which they can use and apply in different

points of their lives. Most businesses also around our area

only sell basic educational materials at much higher prices

for they do not manufacture their products. Due to these, we

don’t have that many competitors as compared to other

businesses. However, we still consider bookshops as our

potential competition for we share similar goals and

objectives on why we put up our business. Apparently, there

are almost no existing physical bookstores located here in

Kalibo, Aklan and so do why, there are no businesses that we

can consider as our competitors at this time.

Instead of the traditional books and other printed

learning materials, our business “Kuiper Station” offers

collectible flashcards that contain specific information

usually facts and trivia, that is not only limited to

astronomy but also includes every other field of science.

Our business also manufactures the products that help us to

make sure that every product we release in the market is

high quality and affordable. We also offer online services

since technological advancement has paved the way for online

selling to be the current trend for business ventures.

We consider But First, Coffee and other similar shops

that offer an area for students to study as our competitor.

We created a strategy to successfully differentiate our

service from competitors by developing a per-table fee

system so that customers have an option to use whether they

want to study alone or share a table with friends and

colleagues. This enables the customers to be proactive at

their own pace and comfort. The study area is also equipped

with educational books and the likes that most coffee shop

doesn’t have.

The existence of online businesses that sell books and

other educational materials online, gave us the idea to

match up their strategy by making our educational flashcards

available to be bought online using various online shopping

platforms. We even have a physical store where students and

even adults that have an interest in astronomy or science,

in general, can study, use our materials, and enjoy the

ambiance of the place because of its astronomy-inspired

interior that other businesses don’t have here in Kalibo.

Unlike the others, our business is for all ages and is not

students specific and loves to seek science-related

knowledge and ideas.

b. Supply and Demand Analysis

The world is evolving, and lifestyles are rapidly

changing. People are craving and need more, especially when

it will put them at ease and give them comfort. Learning is

essential for everyone, especially students. There is a

growing need for a variety of educational resources that are

interactive, available, and reasonably priced.

Educational flashcards are quite useful and in demand

at the moment if they can enhance students' studies and help

them acquire new knowledge. Studying is now more efficient,

simple, and enjoyable. An inviting, cozy, and serene

learning environment is offered by Kuiper Station, which

also gives a selection of educational flashcards on several

scientific fields, including astronomy.

Considering the customers, Kuiper Station always makes

sure that only the highest caliber services are offered at

competitive prices. Kuiper Station ensures that the ambiance

is ideal, the supplies are abundant and suitable, and it

piques the customer's interest in order to eliminate delays,

misunderstandings, and shortages.

c. Description of Target Market

Kuiper Station's target market is the students as well

as the science enthusiasts who would want to acquire

learning materials to gain science knowledge. Students have

an increasing need for a variety of economically priced

educational tools to aid them in their studies and

interests. Our business's goal is to encourage clients to

buy and tailor to our business to provide them with a

comfortable and friendly learning environment as well as to

ensure that they are satisfied with their current orders and

willing to make new purchases.

d. Promotion

In terms of promoting our products, we have created a

social media page on various relevant platforms such as

Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok to further reach our target

market as well as give them options to purchase our products

on their own convenience. We also created a website

displaying the range of our products, the prices of each

product, the location and schedule of our business, and all

the benefits and possibilities that our business could offer

to everyone. Aside from social media pages, we have created

flyers that are to be pasted on walls and distributed to our

local target market.

e. Products

Products are produced by someone to sell and satisfy

the needs and wants of the customers. This is one of the

most important aspects of starting a business. Kuiper

Station is focused on providing educational and science-

related flashcards and collectibles.

Flashcards - are a study or memorization tool, with

information on one or both sides. Students of all ages may

learn effectively and efficiently by using flashcards as it

has the potential to help us retain knowledge in both our

short-term and long-term memory when used correctly.

Customized Flashcards – are flashcards crafted and

personalized based on the needs and preferences of the

customers.

Keychains - are little accessories that gather your

belongings. It enables you to conveniently carry your

everyday carry (EDC) by attaching it to it. A keychain, as

its names imply, is meant for keeping your keys together,

and it consists of a metal ring, metal chain, and sometimes,

a decoration.

Stickers - is a type of label: a piece of printed paper,

plastic, vinyl, or other material with temporary or

permanent pressure sensitive adhesive on one side. Depending

on the setting, it may be used for practical or decorative

purposes.

Beaded Bracelets - primarily consist of loose beads. Using

that hole in the middle, these beads are connected to one

another by a thread or an elastic band. For thousands of

years, people have manufactured and wore bracelets out of

beads. These days, they are typically worn as clothing

accents or fashion accessories.

Pocket Notebook - are a close second, built with mobility in

consideration. It is small and incredibly practical since it

makes it simple to write, draw, and do other things wherever

you are.

For Statement of Financial Position

This section pictures the financial condition of the

firm as a whole. In shows the controlled asset, owned

liabilities, and the owner’s equity of the business on the

given date. The researchers prepared 5 years of the

financial position and condition of the business showing

assets, liabilities, and partner’s equity at the year-end.

Since th business has no liability, the focus of this

financial statement is on Assets and Owner’s Equity.

Cash will increase from 26% to 30% in the Statement of

Cash Flows. As for the inventory, it will increase by 12,585

yearly.

For Property, Plant, and Equipment, their carrying

amounts would decrease due to an increase in the Accumulated

Depreciation.

Total Assets of the business will increase at a rate of

24% to 29% yearly.

For Owner’s Equity, ending balances will increase by

24% to 29% yearly.

For Income Statement

The company will experience an increase in service

income per year by 5% and an increase in sales per year by

20% because of the high demand for the products offered.

Fixed costs such as rent expense, taxes and licenses

expense, salaries expense, supplies expense, and

depreciation expense remain constant for the operations of

the business. The organization expense would only be charged

for the first year only since it is only a one-time expense.

The utility expense has an irrelevant increase only.

The net income of the business will be 31% after the

first year of operations and will increase by about 51% for

the last 5 years because of an increase in sales and since

fixed costs remain the same throughout.

For Statement of Cash Flows

Ending cash balance would increase by 26% in the year

of operation to 30% for the last 5 years due to increasing

percentages of sales and a constant amount of fixed costs

throughout the first 5 years of operations.

Cash flows from investing activities would be incurred

for the first year, unless there would be any additional

expenditures needed to incur.

Cash flows from financing activities are for the first

year only since there is little needed for initial

investment needed due to an increase in cash received and

there’s a constant withdrawal amounting to ₱20,000.00 every

year.
