Chapter 1

Executive Summary

When you see shockproof listed for a hard drive, mobile phone case or watch, what

does it mean? It means that the item is able to be dropped from a significant height and

still function after the fall. The shock is referring to the impact that the drive will

experience upon landing after the free fall.

Most of the businesses were created by entrepreneurs who envisioned an

opportunity to develop a new product or service, and pursued that vision in search of

independence and financial reward. While these visionaries started with solid ideas to

form the foundation of their new ventures, most do not have many of the skills

necessary to transform their ideas into reality. Additionally, the scarcity of talent in

today's market makes it extremely difficult for small business owners to attract and

retain those skills to design and develop commercial solutions to a social problem.

This Baggies involved the design and construction of an excessively complex

system of chain reactions engineered to complete a relatively simple task. The primary

aim of the task was to design and construct such a device which functioned to

successfully save technologies in a risky move, including a range of energy transfers

between components of the device. Following development of these designs, some

components were constructed and tested both individually and in combination with other

components. Early prototypes of these components included the use of phones and

mirrors. After testing of prototypes, the device was modified to improve efficiency and

overall functionality. In order to meet the time criterion and to include a sufficient

number of energy transfers, additional components were added during early testing of

the prototype device. As such, the performance of the device during formal assessment

is expected to be successful, and of a similar time, providing no damage or unknown

alterations occurs prior to the final competition.

Baggies is eco-friendly because instead of burning those scraps, we made it into

something useful not for just us but also for the society. Rubbers are bad for the health

especially if it is being burned. It can also cause global warming and pollution to the

Earth. And now, with some special innovation, we’re using scraps of interior part of

wheels and we turn in into some shockproof bags not everyone can do.

 To determine in our efforts to achieve this by designing, developing and promoting

sustainable products.

 To achieve on a widespread basis, a switch from single-use disposable plastic and

paper bags to reusable and recyclable alternatives.

iv. Business Name

The main idea of the proponent of our product is about recyclable raw materials

being able to be converted into a product that will be a great use for the environment.

Our product which is “BAGGIES” is a shockproof bag that is made up of used interior

parts of the ten wheeler truck. Baggies is also an anti-theft bag having a secure location

of the zipper strap. This type of bag is less hassle especially in rainy season because it

is also a waterproof. Baggies can make your life easier, more comfortable and secure.

We came up with the name “BAGGIES” because once in for all, our product is a

bag. We added the word “GIES” to make the bag on its plural form for a reason of this

bag has many purposes and is always prepared for anything.

v. Business Logo

A brand's logo is its most important design element, because it is the visual

representation of the company and its values. Inside the Figure 1 shows that there is a

circle, it represent the interior wheel that we used for the bag. Black is seen as a

serious, no-frills color, and can evoke a feeling of sophistication. Although it might look

plain, it is often used for luxury products because of its sense of elegance and glamor.

Black can also show consumers that your brand is mysterious and exclusive. Inside of it

has a padlock-like bag, it is a double meaning with the bag looking like a padlock for

being more secure for theft. It was colored Orange because Orange is associated with

playfulness and enthusiasm. This color is said to activate brain activity, but it can also

be seen as aggressive due to its eye-catching nature. This combination of friendliness

When you see shockproof listed for a hard drive, mobile phone case or watch, what

does it mean? It means that the item is able to be dropped from a significant height and

still function after the fall. The shock is referring to the impact that the drive will

experience upon landing after the free fall.

The product we are proposing is called The BAGGIES. It is a bag that is made of the

interior parts of the wheel of cars or motorcycles that made it shock proof and with the

help of the special cloth that makes it more secured.

Many shockproof bags feature a rubberized material around them that is meant to

absorb the part of the shock. Shockproof does not mean insulated from electrical

damage. Although it evokes images of electrocution, it does not mean the item is

insulated from static electricity or will be able to function after sustaining an electrical

surge. The standard for testing a shockproof bag are for infrequent, non-repetitive

shocks that might happen during handling, transportation, or when an item is being

serviced. But it is always depending on the item, this standard outlines tests for

functional shock, material to be transported, fragility, transit drop, crash hazard shock,

bench handling, pendulum impact and catapult launch.

Target Market

If we’ll be trying to break into the fashion accessory industry, we all know that the

competition is fierce enough. That's especially true if you're marketing bags, a fashion

item that serves as both a status symbol and an accessory. Our audience are those all

aging from 3 years old and above. The target market is almost of all ages, except for

infants, because what the proponents really focused on are students, families,

colleagues, and business partners. Those who are in access of technologies are all

welcome and we would want our audience to be those accessory lovers that are fragile.

We conducted a product for technologies to be secured, and also for ourselves. It is an

anti-theft, waterproof and shock resistance bag that will surely be the safest of the safe.

Once you welcome Baggies in your life, it will never be the same. Further trimming the

population down, those who, mainly, loved and interested with bags and technologies

would comprise the business’ consumers. In order to cater the place, the product will be

offered within the premise of the locality, especially focusing to those customers who

have the preference of buying the product. Nevertheless, the business will focus on

delivering the best quality and affordable prices as the most important attribute of the

target market in selling bags.

Marketing and Sales Strategy

i. Product Strategy

A product strategy is the foundation for the entire product lifecycle. As product

leaders develop and adjust their product strategy, they zero in on target audiences and

define the key product and customer attributes necessary to achieve success. The main

purpose of a strategy is to align executives and other key stakeholders around how the

product will achieve the high-level business objectives. It also provides the product

manager with a clear direction to guide the team through implementation and to

communicate the value of the product to cross-functional teams, such as sales,

marketing, and support. Our contribution can and will be measured by us continuing to

design, develop and promote sustainable products and recovery systems, in the first

instance a switch from single-use disposable bags, to a reusable and recyclable

alternative. As the existing team gains experience working together across time zones,

BAGGIES will add new consultants who bring various skill sets to the company. We will

open up additional offices in other cities and states to provide more "points of local

contact" for our clients. New team members will bring new skills and potentially allow us

to offer new services to our small business clients. One possible example is helping

small businesses expand their operations overseas. The Marketing Mix defined below

explains the value that we will bring to our clients as well as the channels,

communication, and costs that will be associated with our services.

It is also noticeable that Lipa City is being home to new settlers from different

regions. Inside the MVL Center where people come and go. It is mostly accessible

because students come and go specially La Sallians and some other students of The

Lipa Grace Academy, Canossa Academy and other schools that are in free access of

transportation. Direct selling can be a good starting point, especially if the product

supply is limited or you only sell seasonal products. One advantage of selling your

products directly is you get a more personal feel of the market because you interact

directly with the customers so you can easily adapt to the changes.

iii. Pricing

BAGGIES will determine the standard pricing structure for each deliverable

based on hourly estimates and fees. This will be expressed to the client as a per-

deliverable fixed price in a quote. Clients can determine which deliverables they would

like to purchase. We will charge the quoted price even if we have underestimated hours,

to maintain credibility with budget-conscious small businesses. We may consider a

cash-and-equity arrangement, or potentially all equity for specific projects. Before we

can begin with this stage of pricing, we will need more experienced finance and

accounting skills to determine proper equity stakes that should be requested. Our

services are tailored specifically to the unique needs of small and emerging businesses

and focus on practical, short-term actions that can improve overall business execution.

With a shortage of available talent plus the typical budget pressure usually associated

with small businesses, our services provide a cost-effective alternative to obtaining

highly-skilled marketing and strategy resources.

iv. Promotion

Today, social media is one of the best business tools. Our business, Baggies will

have an account on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram so that our customers will be

updated in our restaurant and also with our promos and new bag designs and styles.

Baggies will also have flyers, tarpaulins, promos for our business to be more popular

and customer will love our business. Participating in local chambers of commerce will

also help us to get increased exposure.

location, is formally a renting store. A few online shops clothing store like Jukaykay atbp

are also in here and a few computer shops. It is mostly accessible because students

come and go specially La Sallians and some other students of The Lipa Grace

Academy, Canossa Academy and other schools that are in free access of

transportation. We are also near Robinson’s Mall. Lipa City has 72 barangays. It is

bounded by the town of Santo Tomas in the northeast, San Pablo of Laguna and San

Antonio, Quezon in the east, the municipalities of Padre Garcia and Rosario in the

southeast, the municipalities of Ibaan and San Jose in the southwest, the municipalities

of Cuenca and Mataasnakahoy and Taal Lake in the west and the municipalities of

Balete and Malvar in the northwest. The city's location, in a valley between Mount

Malarayat and Mount Makulot, makes it a low-risk area for natural disasters. These two

mountains serve as a windbreak during typhoons. Mount Makulot, in the west, also

served as shield during eruptions of the Taal Volcano.

Lipa’s proximity to the country’s capital, Manila, having an approximate distance

of 86 kilometers or an hour and half drive via the Southern Luzon Expressway

enhances its strategic access to development trends. It is fast emerging as a key city in

the province, becoming a major institutional/administrative center, medical center,

commercial center, financial center, agro-industrial center and residential center.

Likewise, due to a very strategic location, LIPA CITY MARKET is comparatively busy

than other neighboring towns. Thus it boasts a large quantity of market business. As a

result, it attracts more customers from neighboring towns like Padre Garcia, Rosario,

Ibaan, San Juan, Malvar, Tanauan, Mataas na Kahoy, Balete Cuenca, Lemery and

Batangas. It is also noticeable that Lipa City is being home to new settlers from different

regions. Muslims from Mindanao for example have settled in Lipa City, primarily due to

growing economy. There are also settlers from Mindoro, Bicol, Quezon and other

places. Likewise, there are many Koreans who established their business in Lipa.

Furthermore, it is evident that Indian Nationals are also an everyday sight.

Lipa has an extensive road network. The city is a transportation hub for Batangas

and nearby provinces. The whole city of Lipa can come and go into places so there

won’t be any problem in transportation. Lipa is served by a network of national highways

and an expressway. The Southern Tagalog Arterial Road (STAR Tollway) connects the

city with Batangas City, Tanauan and Santo Tomas, with a connection to South Luzon

Expressway (SLEX), thereby linking the city with Calamba and Metro Manila. Jose P.

Laurel Highway, or Ayala Highway (Route 4) on one portion, connects Lipa with the

municipalities and cities of Malvar, Tanauan, Santo Tomas, and Calamba in the north

and San Jose and Batangas City to the south. P. Torres Street or Lipa-Padre Garcia

Road Route 431, links the city with Padre Garcia and also serves as a route to the

municipalities Rosario and San Juan. Another highway, the Alaminos-Lipa City Road,

serves the northern barangays of the city, runs northeast to Alaminos and serves as a

route to the city with San Pablo in Laguna. Governor Feliciano P. Leviste Highway or

Lipa-Balete Road links Lipa with Balete. Claro M. Recto Avenue, General Luna Avenue,

and B. Morada Avenue serve the city center or poblacion. On the rural areas within the

city boundary, arterial roads, like Lodlod Avenue, Santo Tomas-Lipa Road and Lipa-

Ibaan Road, serve the barangays and also connect with nearby municipalities, like San

Jose-Batangas, Santo Tomas and Ibaan-Batangas respectively. An arterial road

running beside Fernando Air Base serves the municipality of Mataas na Kahoy. Buses,

vans, jeepneys, tricycles, and multicabs are common means of transportation in the city.

Large numbers of jeepneys ply their trade around the city, and are becoming the

primary mode of transportation. A grand terminal built beside SM City Lipa mall now

serves as the city's central transport terminal. Making Lipa one of the best decision’s in

places for the market.

A. Business Form and Key Personnel

 Form of Business Ownership
A partnership is a business form created automatically when two or more
persons engage in a business enterprise for profit or either share ownership of a single
business. The alliance of two or more persons to carry on as co-owners of a business
for profit forms a partnership, whether or not the persons intend to form a partnership. A
partnership is formed whenever two or more persons engage jointly in business activity
to pursue profit. The partners should have a legal agreement that sets forth how
commitment will be made, profits will be shared, disputes will be resolved, how future
partners will be admitted to the partnership, how partners can be bought out, and what
