Violence against women is one of the most
common human rights violations.

Gender equality is at the very heart of human rights and the values of
the United Nations. Equality and non-discrimination are fundamental
principles of the United Nations Charter, adopted by world leaders in 1945.

However, millions of women around the world continue to suffer

discrimination in the enjoyment of civil, cultural, economic, political and social
rights.

In addition, many women face compound forms of discrimination, due

to factors such as their age, race, ethnicity, disability, or socioeconomic
status, in addition to discrimination based on gender.

Effectively ensuring the full enjoyment of human rights by women,

girls, men, boys and people of diverse gender identities requires, first of all, a
comprehensive understanding of social structures, social norms and
stereotypes, and relationships of power that frame not only laws and politics,
but also the economy, social dynamics, family life, and community life.

Opinion:

For my part, I totally disagree with the issue of discrimination and the
violation of rights towards women, we all have the same rights and
opportunities, but the lack of education or the very ignorance of certain
people makes the issue worse. The case of gender inequality has been
around for a long time and the day to eradicate it and to understand that we
are all equal within society has not yet arrived.

Women and men are equal in the eyes of God, who created us in his
image and likeness, so I don't see the problem of being able to share the
same opportunities and leave that machismo aside on the part of some
people.

Violence in any of its modalities is not a joke, we must reflect and

make it understood through talks, imparting knowledge on issues related to
non-violence, both gender and any other, in order to avoid and raise
awareness among future generations so that grow with another perspective
where you can live harmoniously.

I disagree since women are the same and even better than us men, in
productivity and efficiency, they like details and do things as they should be
done, as requested, therefore women should have more participation In
citizenship, however, many times the man seeks to be better because of his
pride, which should not be the case and the work of a woman must be
respected and admired.

In conclusion, I am confident that the mentality of macho people will

evolve, but it is up to us to give them knowledge and make them change
those ways of thinking to avoid violence and femicides, which are the main
crimes committed against women, which, thinking about it, are who give us
life and we should repay them by paying tribute to them, not by attacking
them.
