WJT ASSOCIATES copyright 2007 The following data is excerpted from QUALIFICATIONS STARTUPS AND TRYO

The defination of a robust machine is one that is repeatable. The data on the tab DATA shows the acceptable variation that
allows a machine to be classified as Robust or Non-Robust. The classification of the machine is determined by the widest
variation of any one measurement. Usually the repair or replacement of the component that affects this one variable will
vastly improve the machine's Class Standing. This is far easier than replacing the entire machine. Especially with
electronic heater controllers you may find it is as simple as recalibrating them for a lesser range. It might also be nice if you
knew the temperature readouts are actually the real temperature.

Go to the top and use the dropdown bar to choose English or Metric Units. The sheet will automatically convert.

The Machine test only requires an average of shots into the mold and shots into the air. The spread sheet will
provide the answer in the calculations.

You may print out the Machine Class Worksheet to use to determine if your machine is robust.

RULE OF THUMB:
95% or better good for precision molding
90-95% good for commercial molding but will need repair
Less than 90% cannot hold consistant fill or packing conditions
- replace check ring
- check switch-over valve
