Self and peer evaluation CIVL458/958/HCIV958 Tasks 1 and 2

Please refer to this document when filling in yourself and peer evaluation using the
team evaluation tool. Self and peer evaluations will need to be completed for both
Assessment task 1 and Assessment task 2.
Failure to submit an evaluation will result in a 5% deduction from your grade for the
related task – that does not include any deductions as a result of peer assessment.
As a result of the self and peer evaluation, individual marks for these
assignments may be adjusted if some team members do not contribute to an
appropriate level.
Self and peer evaluations will open at the time of submission of the
group assignments, and are due by the following dates:
 Task 1 – 17:00 Wednesday 24th August 2022
 Task 2 – 17:00 Wednesday 26th October 2022
You can only fill in your evaluation once your assignment is submitted. Just click on
your assignment in Moodle under “Assessment submission” and the questionnaire
should pop up.
Below is an explanation of the criteria.
In all cases, a score of 1 is very poor and a score of 5 is excellent. Any criteria with a
score under 3 may require elaboration if marks are to be deducted. Leniency will be
shown to individuals who are honest in their own self-assessment and understand
they did not contribute well.

3. Team deadlines met well - not always high quality work - work needed to be
redone because it was not always correct, but they made a genuine effort to
contribute and engage in decisions
4. Deadlines always met - content covered was done to a relatively high standard
and met subject requirements without too much rework required
5. Deadlines always met - high quality standard of work - contributed to team
effort in all decisions, but did not dominate
