In this task, you will see two articles, and please help us to judge the relationship
between these two articles.
There are 3 relationships need you help to differentiate:
Good:
 You can extract a common event from two articles.
Example1:
Article1: Lisa Rinna rocks peekaboo thong at Mugler show: 'Owning it'
Article2: Lisa Rinna Goes Glam-Free in Paris Fashion Week Clips with Crazy Hair and
No Makeup: 'Send Help'
Reason: Common event: Lisa Rinna in Paris Fashion Show.
Example2:
Article1: Awful scenes as Sri Lanka pair stretchered off after ugly collision
Article2: Virat Kohli ton helps India beat Sri Lanka by ODI record runs margin
Reason: Common event: Sri Lanka vs India ODI game.
Example3:
Article1: Jeremy Renner in ICU After Suffering ‘Blunt Chest Trauma' During Snow
Plowing Accident
Article2: Jeremy Renner's sister gives emotional update as star says he's 'too messed
up to talk'
Reason: Common event: Jeremy Renner injured in snow plowing accident. And
Article2 is the update of Article1.
Example4:
Article1: Met Office speaks out on 'polar vortex' fears as 'sudden stratospheric
warming' now underway
Article2: Met Office UK weather: Snow and 'polar vortex' verdict amid predictions of
new Arctic blast
Reason: Common event: Met Office responds to “polar vortex”

Fair:
 You cannot extract a common event from the two articles, but they contain at least TWO
same dominant subjects.
Example1:
Article1: Zelenskyy defiant as Russia unleashes 'massive' missile strike; U.S. sanctions
Russian mercenary group
Article2: Russia-Ukraine war live: Russian death toll from Makiivka attack ‘far higher
than Moscow admitted’”
Reason: Article1: Zelenskyy defiant Russia, Article2: Makiivka attack. But two articles
contain two same dominant subjects: “Russia”, “Russia-Ukraine war”.
Example2:
Article1: Dan Campbell on beating the Packers: 'What better way to go out?'
Article2: NFL playoffs: Seahawks are in field after Lions stun Packers
Reason: Article1: Lions head coach Dan Campbell on beating the Packers, Article2:
Seahawks are in field after Lions stun Packers. But two articles contain two same
dominant subjects: “Lions”, “Packers”.

Bad:
 Two articles have no relationship or just contain ONE same topic or dominant subject.
Example1:
Article1: Portland police shoot and injure man suspected of stealing pickup truck
Article2: Baltimore County investigating Sunday afternoon shooting; One minor
injured
Reason: Article1: Police shoot suspected man in Portland. Article2: Baltimore
investigate shooting. They only contain same topic “shooting”.
Example2:
Article1: Lisa Rinna Goes Glam-Free in Paris Fashion Week Clips with Crazy Hair and
No Makeup: 'Send Help'
Article2: Lisa Rinna is ‘happy’ to leave ‘RHOBH’ behind: pal Brad Goreski
Reason: Article1: Lisa Rinna in Paris Fashion Show. Article2: Lisa Rinna leaves
‘RHOBH’. They only contain one same dominant subject “Lisa Rinna”.
