The systems work by binding aggregates and resin together to waterproof
the structure and provides an anti-slip surface to minimise the risk of slips or
accidents.
The methacrylate technology permits traffic after only four hours whereas
conventional polyurethane or epoxy systems may take up to seven days to fully
cure. The chemical and fuel resistance of the Rapide system is also outstanding.
Special flexible methacrylate technology in combination with a fleece is also used
for secure elastomeric waterproofing of vulnerable details and locations of high
movement.
Unlike conventional systems the methacrylate technology allows low temperature
application even down to -10°C in the right conditions.

refurbishment of the
flagship city centre
Livery Street car park.
The high-specification
deck waterproofing
system was chosen by Balvac, the principal
contractor, to cover 22,000m² of deck surface to
create contrasting coloured parking, driving and
pedestrian zones when the client, Birmingham
City Council, and project management team,
Atkins, demanded a high quality finish and a long
deck surface life.

Tremco illbruck offer different variations of the Rapide system for internal decks,
external decks and decks above accomodation.
Rapide Internal Decking System
Typically refurbishment of a car park
can restrict or interrupt its normal
operation leading to a loss of revenue.
This is particularly so for intermediate
decks where access to and from
adjacent floors may be particularly
badly affected.
The Rapide Intermediate Decking
System consists of:
Preparation: Typically vacuum
shotblasting to open the pores of the
subfloor.
Crack Detail: Special elastomeric
grade in combination with a fleece for
crack detail bridging.
Priming: Special primers for both
asphalt and concrete decks
Build Coat: A special blend of
methacrylate, fillers and aggregates to
provide a durable base layer.
Top Coat: A special methacrylate
seal coat pigmented to suit the clients
requirements.

layers of the build coat may be

Other Car Park Systems
Pavseel
Tremco Pavseel is a clear microacrylic
sealer for dustproofing and sealing
concrete deck substrates and general
concrete floor areas where a full deck
coating is not required. The product
works by soaking into the surface
and binding weak particles to reduce
unsightly dusting. The system also
reduces absorbancy of fuel and stains
into the concrete whilst retaining the
general antislip texture of the concrete.
Tremco Pavseel
may also be used
for sealing block
paving and for
stabilising the
jointing sand.
The sealer prevents
the sand from
being eroded by
weather and prevents weeds from
growing, preventing unsightly growth.

Tremproof
The Tremco Tremproof range is a
structural waterproofing system for car
parks, spiral access ramps, service
decks above accommodation or on
podium decks prior to overlaying with
hot asphalt. The system comprises
the Tremproof 250 GC cold applied
waterproofing system, drainage
detailing and a protection course. With
up to 700% movement accommodation
the waterproofing is guaranteed.
The Tremco Tremproof range can
also be used on the top deck of
underground car parks below block
paving systems. The fantastic
waterproofing and flexibility of the
system keeps the underground decks
dry and protected.

Tremco Soffiguard is a water based
flexible coating system, formulated to
provide effective protection to concrete
structures from airborne contaminants
and pollutants.
The coating is used as a protective and
decorative coating to soffits, walls and
upstands within concrete and masonry
buildings/structures.

multidirectional movement and loadings
