Module 3 Lesson 2 Post-task

In the movie "Bad Genius," the characters were able to pull off complex plots and academic
fraud for a number of reasons. First, there were major holes in the examination system's
legitimacy. The characters took advantage of the questions' predictability to carefully organize
and carry out their cheating schemes. Second, the validity of the examination procedure has
problems. The lack of consistency in monitoring and security procedures allowed the characters
to take advantage of these flaws without being discovered. Last but not least, the testing
techniques' uniformity was poor. The movie showed a system that was unable to adjust to new
problems and lacked effective security measures to protect the integrity of the exams.

Now, it is vital to address these flaws in accordance with the ideas of validity, reliability, and
standardization– in order to prevent situations like these in real-world educational and testing
environments. It is challenging for students to forecast exam material because test questions
are frequently updated to reflect current learning objectives and curricula. Implementing strict
monitoring and surveillance methods during exams can increase reliability by fostering a stable
and secure testing environment. In order to combat cheating and protect the integrity of the
testing environment, enhancing standardization also entails the development of standardized
testing methods and improved security measures. In order to correct flaws and ensure fairness
in educational assessments and guarantee that students are judged according to their actual
skills, abilities, and knowledge, regular reviews and modifications to the testing process are
necessary.
