PACALAT RIVER
-This pricture shows, the Pacalat River it is a popular hangout for locals. It
is a reservoir that can be found in the Pangasinan community of Barangay
Pacalat Mangatarem. It is used to irrigate the nearby barangays for the
cultivation of crops, particularly rice. Along with serving as a means of
irrigation, it serves as a summertime domicile for residents and guests from
nearby towns. Swimming and camping are both ideal in its waters.
DAANG KALIKASAN
-Daang Kalikasan is a national road that connects Pangasinan and
Zambales. It is situated in Brgy. Mangatarem, Umangan. The said road is
becoming increasingly popular among tourists due to the ambiance; the
view is fascinating and very relaxing. Daang Kalikasan was originally a road,
not a tourist destination, but it is quickly becoming one due to its popularity
and beauty. The benefit of this development is that it will boost provincial
trade and tourism.
TUPIG
-Tupig, also known as intemtem or kangkanen, is a Filipino rice cake native
to northwestern Luzon, specifically Pangasinan, Tarlac, and Ilocos. Tupig is
a Pangasinan delicacy made of ground glutinous rice and coconut strips
wrapped in banana leaves and cooked over charcoal. Nanay Patring's
Mangatrem's oldest and most successful "tupig" maker, and she produces a
lot of tupig in a day in her shop in front of her house in Umangan. Her tupig
is extremely popular due to its distinct flavor and huge size.
ST. RAYMOND OF PENAFORT CHURCH
-St. Raymond of Penafort Church is authentically Catholic, following in the
long tradition of African American churches. It is also known as the
Mangatarem Church and is located on Mabini Street in Mangatarem. It
began as a visita of San Carlos before becoming an independent parish in
1835. In 1837, the Dominicans accepted Mangatarem's administration. The
primary mission of the Catholic Church is to spread God's kingdom. In a
broader sense, God's kingdom refers to the reign of righteousness, justice,
and peace.
RIZAL MONUMENT
-The Rizal Monument was planned and built during the early twentieth
century American colonial period in the Philippines. Rizal is depicted in an
overcoat holding a book with the title "NOLI ME TNGERE" inscribed on it.
This contrasts with the book's traditional representation as a symbol of both
the inscribed novel and its sequel El Filibusterismo. The stone represents
Rizal's masonic background, while the three stars represent Luzon, Visayas,
and Mindanao. The figures at the monument's back, such as leaves and a
pot, are said to represent the country's natural resources. The figures beside
Rizal—a mother nursing her child and two young boys reading—are widely
assumed to represent family and education.
AG KAPI TA
-In the middle of a rice field, ag.KAPI.ta is a well-known coffee shop and food
hub. The Ilocano word for "let's have coffee" is Ag.KAPI.ta. It can be found on
Daang Kalikasan Road in Mangatarem, Pangasinan, Philippines. The
pathway features a beautiful and Instagrammable bamboo-arc tunnel as
well as lighting. ag.KAPI.ta provides an al fresco dining experience with a
beautiful natural ambiance where you can enjoy your food and freshly
brewed coffee. The café has a one-of-a-kind setting, with a stunning view of
the mountains and flourishing rice fields. The area is also ideal for bird

- Mangatarem is a Pangasinan word for "mango plantation". The town's
name also came from the Ilocano Phrase “mangga ken tirem” which means
"mango and oyster".
