1) LONDON:

- London is the capital city of the United Kingdom. It’s situated in the

South East of England
- It is the U.K.’s largest metropolis and its economic, transportation, and
cultural centre.
- London is home for the headquarters of all government departments,
Parliament, the major legal institutions and the monarch
- It is about seven times larger than any other city in the country.About a
fifth of the total population of the UK lives in the Greater LonDon area
- The majority of Londoners live in suburbs, millions of them travelling
into centre each day to work
- Two well-known areas of London are the West End and the East End
* Hanoi and London:
I am convinced that London has greater dominance over the country
compared to Hanoi of Vietnam.
✓ London: London is the largest city in Britain and the home for
headquarters of all government Pair lo mont Ima: non departments,
Parliament and the monarch. Also, it's the country's business and banking
centre. ✓ Hanoi has an equal influence but more in polititical, cultural,
historical and social aspects. In regard to economy, HCM holds a greater
importance and dominance over the country of being the financial and
economical centre of the country with many companies and corporations
- similar: Hanoi is the capital, a city directly under the central government
and is one of two special urban areas, where the population is densely
concentrated. Hanoi has been a political, economic and cultural center
since the very beginning of Vietnamese history. As the capital, Hanoi is
home to many important cultural, entertainment and sports sites of the
country, and is also the place chosen to hold many political and sports
events. international.
2) Describe the British monarchy:
- The British Monarchy is known as a constitutional monarchy by
which a hereditary sovereign reigns as the head of state of the United
Kingdom.
- The current monarch is King Charles III, who ascended the throne on
8 September 2022
-The monarch and their immediate family undertake various official,
ceremonial, diplomatic and representational duties.
- although formally the monarch still has authority over the governmen
that power may only be used according to laws enacted in Parliament
and within constraints of convention and precedent.
*Role of monarchy:
- the monarch is the personal embodiment of the government of the
country
- the monarch could act as a final check on a government that was
becoming dictatorial
- the monarch has a very practical role to play is the head of state and
nation.

4) Would you say that people in your country are more or less enthusiastic
about university education than they are in Britain?
It seems to me that people in Vietnam are less enthusiastic about
university education than they are in Britain . In Britain , compulsory
education is up to the age of 16. 2/3 of students choose to attend A -
Levels and go on to college . With the Britain's newfound enthusiasm for
continuing education and because the general level of unemployment is
now high , far fewer sixteen - year - olds go straight out and look for a job
than used to . In Vietnam , despite the government's efforts in promoting
education in the recent years , university education attendance rate is still
low , at 28.3 % according to a 2019 report . After leaving high schools ,
students often take part in vocational courses or find a job straight away if
they are not admitted to college .
5) : How do you explain the popularity of the different types of dwelling in
Britain? Are the same types popular in your country?
Everybody in Britain dreams of living in a detached house while flat is the
least desired type of dwelling . British people have a strong desire for
privacy and ownership , so they avoid living in blocks of flats . The ideal
living space which is dear to the hearts of many British is a detached house
built from brick , with a large front garden with trees and bushes , green
spaces , a real fire , little corners which bring a sense of cosines and
comfort .
In Vietnam , block of flats are very common among urban dwellers ,
especially in Hanoi and HCMC where there are a lack of land for living
space . Regarding houses , Vietnamese people like living in private homes
and single apartments . Each family lives in a self contained apartment ,
located along a corridor or surrounded by a shared staircase . This type of
house ranges from one to three floors in order to provide enough rooms for
parents and the kids .
6) How do social classes differentiate themselves in your country? Is it
similar to the way people identify themselves in Britain?
Nowadays in Vietnam there seems to be no obvious devision of class
based on social status. Though there is a small differentiation based on
education and occupation of white-collar workers and blue collar workers,
Vietnamese think of the social class as something rigid, unnecessary and
should be erased, In Britain there are 3 distinctive classes: the upper,
middle and working class People in modern Britain are very concious of
class differences. Anyone who has a strong regional accent will be
assumed with working class while those with an RP accent will be
assumed to be upper or upper-middle class. Class is so important in British
culture that in some parts of the country, a lot of "social climbing" goes
on; that is, people try to appear as if they belong to as high a class as
possible. But in recent years, the concept of social classes in Britain has
become less rigid than it was and different classes mix easily and readily
than they used to.
7) what are the main political parties in the uk?
- Conservative Party and the Labour Party, Liberal Democratic part
*Differents:
Unlike the UK, Vietnam has only one party, the Communist Party of
Vietnam.
The Vietnamese political system includes:
- Communist Party of Vietnam
- The State of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam
- Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations
The Communist Party of Vietnam is the ruling Party, leading the State and
society.
The State of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam is a socialist rule of law
state of the People, by the People, for the People.
The National Assembly is the highest representative body of the People,
the highest organ of state power of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. The
National Assembly exercises constitutional and legislative power, decides
on important national issues, and supervises the state's activities.
All activities of the political system are under the leadership of the
Communist Party of Vietnam. Through the state apparatus, the Fatherland
Front, and the People's socio-political organizations, the Communist Party
of Vietnam performs the role and function of leadership for the whole
society, to promote and implement the sovereignty of the People.
