In-Flight Demonstration – Safety Briefing Spiel

Ladies and gentlemen, on behalf of Captain Dela Cruz, we would like to welcome you all on board
Flight 001 to Cebu. Our flying time is approximately 1 hour. While we are here to ensure that you
do have a comfortable trip with us today, your safety is our priority. We request your full attention
as our cabin crews Stephanie and Raven demonstrates the safety features of this aircraft, the Airbus
320-200.
There are eight exits on this plane, two at the front, two at the back and four window exits over the
wings. All exits are clearly marked with an exit sign. However, if there is a loss of power and cabin
visibility is reduced, lights will illuminate the aisles to guide you to an exit. Please take a moment
to find the exits closest to you, in some cases, they might be behind you. Doors can be opened by
moving the handle in the direction of the arrow. Each door is equipped with an inflatable slide
which may also be detached and used as a life raft. If you are seated next to an emergency exit,
please read carefully the special instructions card located by your seat. If you do not wish to
perform the functions described in the event of an emergency, please ask a cabin crew to reseat
you.
When the seatbelt sign illuminates, you must fasten your seatbelt. To fasten, insert the metal fitting
into the buckle, adjust to fit snugly by pulling the loose end of the strap. To release, lift the upper
portion of the buckle. We suggest that you keep your seatbelt low and tight across your lap
throughout the flight, as we may experience turbulence.
A life vest is located in a pouch under your seat. In case of emergency, open the pouch and remove
the vest. Slip it over your head, wrap it around your waist and attach it to the buckle in front. Adjust
the strap until the vest fits snugly. When outside the aircraft, inflate the vest by pulling down firmly
on the red tabs. The vest may be manually inflated by blowing into the tubes at shoulder level. A
rescue light automatically illuminates in the water.
This cabin is pressurized. In the event of a decompression, oxygen masks will automatically drop
from the panel above your seat. To start the flow of oxygen, pull the mask towards you. Place it
firmly over your nose and mouth, secure the elastic band behind your head, and breathe normally.
Although the bag does not inflate, oxygen is flowing to the mask. If you are traveling with children,
or are seated next to someone who needs assistance, place your mask first, then offer assistance.
You will find this and all the other safety information in the Safety Information Card, which is in
your seat pocket.
Now, before we take off, be sure your seat is upright, your aisle armrests are lowered, your tray
table is put away and all carryon items are probably stowed. As we come through the cabin for our
final safety check, please let us know if you have any questions.
On behalf of our flight deck and cabin crew, we want to thank you for paying attention.
As we prepare for takeoff, please relax and enjoy the flight
