INTRODUCTION AND ITS BACKGROUND

Technology has dramatically changed the educational landscape in the current digital era. Online

learning management systems have become effective tools for remote learning, allowing both students

and teachers to participate in educational activities outside of traditional classroom settings. The delivery,

management, and tracking of educational information, interactions, and assessments in a virtual setting

are all handled by an online learning management system. Online LMS platforms are now essential for

businesses, organizations, and people looking to learn new skills or improve their current ones. The

COVID-19 pandemic hastened the spread of these systems as institutions and businesses all around the

world switch to online education and training.

Online learning management systems have transformed education by removing geographical

constraints, promoting interactive learning opportunities, and adjusting to the changing demands of

students and teachers in a globally connected digital environment.

OBJECTIVE OF THE PROJECT

These Objectives will serve as a guide for creating an online learning management system,

ensuring that it meets the demands of both teachers and students and enhances the educational process.

• Create a platform that facilitates efficient remote learning by providing a central hub for instructors

to submit course materials and enabling students to access resources from any internet-connected

location.

• Create tools that streamline course creation and management for educators, enabling structured

uploading and organization of course materials, assessments, and announcements, thereby enhancing

the teaching process.

• Design the system with a user-friendly interface that is accessible to a diverse range of users,

including those with varying technological proficiencies and abilities.

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM

Traditional education faces challenges like geographical restrictions, rigid scheduling, and

passive learning. Online learning management systems provide flexible, interactive, and accessible

learning experiences for students and teachers.

SCOPE AND LIMITATION

The Online Learning Management System project aims to create a comprehensive web-based

platform for students and teachers, enabling easy account creation, login, and profile maintenance. It will

enable course design, uploading, and management, improve engagement, provide easy access to

materials, and automate grading and progress tracking. With limitation of the system it requires a reliable

internet connection for functionality, and users need computer knowledge for efficient use. Education

professionals will generate resources, but advanced features may require more time and funding.

Security measures are in place, but potential flaws may affect data security.

REVIEW RELATED LITERATURE AND STUDIES

Online Learning Management Systems (LMS) have revolutionized the field of education by

providing a platform for delivering educational content and facilitating interactions in virtual environments.

This section presents a review of relevant literature, both foreign and local, highlighting the impact and

effectiveness of Online LMS in educational settings.

FOREIGN

Learning management systems (LMS) are online tools that improve education by establishing

virtual learning environments. They promote inclusive learning environments by facilitating user

cooperation, dialogue, and communication. To encourage active learning, instructors should combine

LMS resources with curricular guidelines. Instructors can facilitate discussions, organize activities,

establish expectations, provide options, and support decision-making using LMS. Engaging learning

environments are fostered through instructor presence in LMS. Through the LMS, students retain their

independence and motivation. To support educational stakeholders' contributions to LMS platforms,

which help students study a variety of disciplines, including mathematics, scientific research are required.

Bradley, V. (2020).

LOCAL

Due in large part to the COVID-19 epidemic, online learning is a crucial component of remote

education. Real-time or flexible lessons are used. LMSs are essential for providing online instruction and

catering to student demands. This Manila study sought to determine how LMS usage impacts pupils in

private senior high schools' communication skills. 74 students participated in the study, which used

statistics and thematic analysis to examine the data. The findings indicated that students had favorable

opinions of LMS in terms of interaction, instruction, and learning quality. LMS improved teamwork and

communication skills by facilitating communication between students and teachers. LMS enhanced the

overall quality of online learning and communication abilities. The report promotes future research on this

subject and suggests further training for teachers and students to optimize LMS in the new teaching

norm. Acala, J. J., & Dimasacat, A. C. (2023).

SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY

The significance of this study would help in giving additional information that will embark the

reader’s knowledge. This might also be a help to the following group of people:

Learners. This would benefit them additional about the best learning instruction that they could get from

the instructor

Teachers. The outcomes could help them to expand their knowledge and choose the best learning

instruction in teaching learners.

Parents. The outcomes will embark the thoughts of the parents and can guide their children through

meeting the needs of it.

School Administrators. The result of the study could help them to assess the teachers in giving them

the learning tools that they need in order to attain the most effective teaching style that the learners

should attain.

Future Researchers. This could benefit them as an essential basis especially if they are trying to

conduct the same study.
