PRESENT

Simple

We use present simple when want to describe permanent
action.

Ex.
The sky is blue.
We use the present simple when talk of rutines.
Ex.
Pauline practices the piano every day.
My dog barks every time.
we use the present simple when we give instructions

Ex. Pauline practices the piano every day. My dog barks


every time.
To describe an action that is currently
happening, we use the present continuous
and not the present simple.
structure Interrogative:

do/does + + verb+ complement


Affirmative:
+ verb+ complement

Nagative:
+ do/does not + verb + complement
Rules
in the third person an ”s” is added to the verbs
ex. He writes
When verbs end in “o, -sh, -ch, -ss, -x and -z” you must add “es” at
the end.
ex. to go she goes

For verbs that end in -y, you must replace “y” with i and add “es”,
except when there is a vocal before the "y", here the "y" is kept and "s"
is added.
ex.to cry He cries
