“Bridging Farmers with

Markets & Technologies ”

A Proposal for Collaboration

I. Rationale:
As the salad bowl capital of the Philippines, and the primary source of
vegetable supplies in the country, the provinces of Benguet continuously
seeks to improve its agricultural aspect. Therefore, it is imperative for the
government, hand-in-hand with private entities to aid in the realization of an
enhanced, globality competitive and sustainable agriculture in the province.

This has motivated Cordi Events, to collaborate with the Provincial

Government of Benguet thru its agricultural arm to be our partner in
organizing and staging of an activity entitled; Benguet Agricultural and
Technological Exposition 2023 with the theme, “Bridging Farmers with
Market and Technologies”.

The event is for the primordial benefit of farmers and aspiring farmers in
the entire Province. In addition. it will also be an avenue to encourage non-
farming individuals to get involved into urban gardening and produce their
own vegetable needs.

As part of this activity, Cordi Events have tapped speakers and trainers
in various aspects of agriculture to provide free agricultural know-how to
farmers and interested individuals from all parts of the province.

Aside from this, Cordi Events have also contacted manufacturers and
suppliers of technologically advanced farming machineries and
agricultural commodities to showcase their products in an exposition.
This would give opportunities for farmers and agricultural enthusiasts to order
these equipments and facilities direct from these suppliers at a lower price,
eliminating the advantages of middle men.
In addition, the organizers, have also prepared entertainment activities
for the participants and the would-be visitors to the event to make the
occasion lively and memorable.

Finally, since the trainings, seminars are all free and open for all who are
interested, we are confident that we would be able to inspire more residents to
appreciate the importance of enhancing and engaging into agriculture.

Thru this, Cordi Events, as the event organizers can contribute to the
attainment and realization of a sustainable agriculture for our beloved
province.
II. Proposed Date:

Our proposed date for the activity will be from July 11-15, 2023.

III. Proposed Venue:

Our proposed venue of the activity is at the Benguet State

University Open Gym at Km6, La Trinidad, Benguet. And it will be the
responsibility of Cordi Events to request to rent the venue.

IV. Proposed Participants:

1. Benguet Residents
 The Event would be open for all Benguet Municipalities to join the
free seminars and visit the agri-input showcase booths.

2. Provincial Government Office of Benguet

 We will invoke the participation of the different PGO particularly
thru its’ Agriculture arm.
 We will involve the Agricultural offices of the municipalities in the
dissemination of the activities/seminars and workshops intended for
the farmer and interested individuals.
 The different Municipalities will be allotted 1 free tent each to
showcase and market their agricultural products during the
event. Cordi events will provide the tents.

3. Agricultural Product Manufacturers

 Agricultural product manufacturers from the entire country would be
invited to participate and sponsor the event. These would bring
opportunity for farmers to book and order their agri-needs straight
from these manufacturers and suppliers.
 It will be the responsibility of Cordi Events to contact and invite these
companies.

4. Government Agencies Concerned

 The Department of Agriculture-CAR(DA), Agricultural Training
Institute-CAR (ATI), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and
the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) will also be
tapped to provide support during the event.
 5. Senior High Schools, Universities and Tech-voc Schools
 All educational institutions who are offering Agricultural subjects are
welcome to partake in the Expo and in the other activities. The
institutions who were able to produce the winners of the “Young
Farmers Challenge” will be give priority for free booths to showcase
their winning products.

VI. Cleanliness:
The organizers guarantee the assurance of cleanliness to be maintained
at the event area and its surroundings before, during and after the event.

VII. Program of Events: (To be Finalized)

Day 1:July 12, 2023- (Monday) Opening Program and Opening of Expo

Day 2: July 13, 2023- (Tuesday) Free Seminars & Expo

Day 3: July 14, 2023- (Wednesday) Free Seminars & Expo

Day 4: July 15, 2023- (Thursday) Free Seminars & Expo

Day 5: July 16, 2023- (Friday) Expo finale & Closing Consert
