I read this story to my class

and make an anchor chart with
a mummy on it. We brainstorm as
a class thing our ‘mummies’ do
when we get scared. Students
respond with the writing, When
I’m scared my mummy...
As a craft we use paper plates
and cover them with toilet
paper and decorate eyes.

The objective of this activity is for
students to describe teen numbers
by ten and then some. Students will
use candy corn to build teen numbers
in the tens frame provided. Students
will record the number of candy on
and off the tens frame. Of course
they can eat the candy after the
activity! :)
