To learn “next to,” “between,” “around the corner,” and “across from”

Use:
•Print these city places around town (preferably in color.)
•These pictures can be put in random order next to each other as if they are located on
city streets.
•The students can learn about places around town and their proximity by the following
activities:
1. Ask the students, “Where’s the ___________?” And they should answer, “It’s next to the ___________.” or
“It’s across from the ___________.” or “It’s between the _______ and the __________.” or “It’s around the
corner fro the ___________.”
2. The students can pair up and ask each other these questions.
3. It could be setup as charades and a student acts out where they are and the other students have to say,
“You are at the ___________.”
