ASSIGNMENT QUESTION

SEMESTER JULY 2023


Objective
This coursework aims to provide students an opportunity to explore business software and enhance their
understanding on the software features of word processing, spreadsheet editing and digital presentation
editor. Various online collaboration tools that leverage on the ubiquity and scalability of cloud
computing are also utilized to facilitate teamwork among all assignment group members when
developing a solution in the process of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Grouping
This is a group-based assignment. Each group with a minimum of FOUR (4) members and maximum
of FIVE (5) members. Every student in the group is responsible for finding, analyzing and preparing
the assignment report. All students should contribute evenly to the tasks assigned.

Plagiarism
All work is to be the result of the student's own individual and group effort. Assignment contents are
not allowed to be copied from the Internet or from other students. A student who plagiarizes will receive
zero credit on the assignment.

Late Policy
The assignment should be submitted on the due date stated below unless there are legitimate reasons
for the student’s inability to complete the assignment by the due date. Generally, no extension of time
will be granted. Assignments received after the due date without legitimate reason will be penalized.

1. You are given the following scenario:

You are planning to organize a career talk at


your campus, UniKL MIIT. As a committee in
Youth Guidance Community Club, you need to
create a proposal seeking approval (venue and
budget) from UniKL. This year, your club will
be organizing the talk face to face. Details of the
event are as follows:

2. Based on the above scenario, a project team is formed, consisting of 4 to 5 members. Your team
embarks on various phases of system development, from creating a proposal to designing brochure
for promotion purposes.

3. Your project is divided into 5 tasks as follow:

01 Digital Brochure  Design and create a digital brochure to promote the event.
 You may use any software to prepare this brochure.
o MS PowerPoint
o MS Word
o Canva
 Present your digital brochure briefly during your presentation.

02 Working Files Storage  Use SharePoint only for all your assignment working files
storage.
 Appoint 1 group member to manage this task.
 By using your UniKL Student’s Account, create a shared folder
in your SharePoint. Invite all team members, your lecturer and
appoint them as Editor, not Viewer. This folder contains all
assignment working files.

03 Project Proposal  Prepared a proposal seeking approval from your university.


(MS Word)  Within your SharePoint folder, create a file and name it as
Project Proposal. This file must be in MS Word format.
 Template will be provided soon.

04 Budgeting  Create a workbook in MS Excel format named Project


(MS Excel) Budget.xlsx. To be aligned to practical exercises that use MS
Excel.

 Design your recommended solution within the worksheets.
Incorporate relevant information as necessary.
 Place your club logo in the documents.
 Use relevant MS Excel functions and formulas in your
worksheets.

05 Presentation Slides  Minimum of 10 slides, maximum of 15 slides. Allowable


presentation duration: 10 to 15 minutes.
 All team members to present during class.
 You may use any software to prepare these presentation slides.
o MS PowerPoint
o Canva
 Your slides will be divided in 2 Part.
o Part 1: Contains all information to be presented to UniKL
about the talk in order to get their approval.
o Part 2: Contains all information about devices and
hardware used to complete this assignment.
