If Clause

If clause is used to express a conditional of something. There are some patterns that
can be used to express a conditional.
Pattern 1 : If clause + Suggestion
Example : a) If you want to be a singer, why do not you join Indonesian Idol?
b) If you feel cold, you should wear a jacket.
Pattern 2 : If clause + Imperative
Example : a) If you are so sleepy, turn off the television and go to bed!
b) If you want to eat fried noodles, you can cook them yourself!
Pattern 3 : If clause + Reminder
Example : a) If you want to get the first rank, you have to study hard every day.
b) If you want to ride a motorcycle, you have to have a driving license.
Pattern 4 : If clause + General Truth
Example : a) If you do not eat for a week, you die.
b) If you close your eyes, you see nothing.
Pattern 5 : If clause to show a dream
Example : a) If you work hard every day, you can be the manager in your office.
b) If I practice dancing eight hours every day, I can be a great dancer.
