ID-SET XL

ID-SET XL cross-linker is the activator for the ID-SET AK system that do not contain a cross-linker. Without a
cross-linker, these systems can be mixed ahead a time without the concern of premature activation. When lost
returns, high-pressure zones or unconsolidated formations are encountered, the activator is added to the ID-
SET AK slurry just prior to pumping.

Application

ID-SET XL cross-linker must be added to ID-SET AK or other advanced ID-SET system after they have been
blended and just before pumping downhole. It is not needed for ID-SET.

For unweighted slurries, use at a concentration of 5 lb/bbl (14 kg/m ). For weighted slurries, the ID-SET XL
cross-linker must be added in proportion to the volume of water used. If ID-SET RT is required, it always must
be added before ID-SET XL. Add ID-SET XL cross-linker directly to the slurry and mix for just 5 minutes to assure
it is blended thoroughly before pumping the pill.

Advantages

 Allows per mixed pills to be held as a contingency, thus avoiding unnecessary mixing delays when facing
losses
 Will activate and cross-link ID-SET AK system.

Toxicity and Handling

Handle as an industrial chemical, wearing protective equipment and observing the precautions as described in
the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS).

Packing and Storage

ID-SET XL is packaged in 50 lb (22.7 kg) plastic drum.

Store in dry well-ventilated area. Keep container closed. Store away from incompatibles.
