I hope this finds you well! The Spring semester of choir is very busy and it’s important to me that
your child is in a position to be successful.
In the Fall semester, your child met the following requirements:
____ Attended the Fall Concert
____ Attended the Winter Concert
____ Paid their Choir fees
____ Stayed in good academic standing throughout the semester
____ Met the required sight-reading/literacy expectation for their ensemble
____ Completed Choir Volunteer Opportunities (optional)

Your child also had the following infractions documented:


____ Failed a class during the first semester
____ Failed more than one class during the first semester
____ Received disciplinary action that removed him/her from their choir class
____ Had numerous tardies and/or absences for choir in the fall
____ Did not meet the required sight-reading/literacy expectation for their ensemble
____ Did not complete their Fall final

Based on the above information, the above student:

____ May continue to participate in class as a member of the NSSH Choir Program in pursuit of UIL
Competition. All students are encouraged to go to Solo and Ensemble Competition Saturday, February
25, 2023. This competition is free of charge and your child has already prepared their song.

____ May continue to participate in class as a member of the choir program in pursuit of UIL
Competition if the following requirements are met:

____ Turns in a DAILY grade check sheet for Choir to Ms. Morris and remains academically eligible.

____ Pays any outstanding Choir fees/ fines by Friday, February 3, 2023.
All students are encouraged to go to Solo and Ensemble Competition Saturday, February 25, 2023.
This competition is free of charge and your child has already prepared their piece. I also acknowledge
that there is financial support available. Please communicate with Ms. Morris if this applies to you.

____ Attends after school tutorials once a week. Please notify Ms. Morris the day before you plan on
attending.

____ Meets the required sight-reading/literacy expectation for their ensemble.

____ May NOT continue to participate in class as a member of the choir program in pursuit of UIL
Competition. This student will receive their class credit with an alternative assignment.

As a reminder, only students who participate in UIL Competition may participate in our Spring Pop
Show.
