Answer Key
1. The number in the middle is the number on the left window subtracted by the number in right side.
81 – 25 = 56
47 – 38 = 9

Therefore, 33 – 5 = A
A = 28
Answer: D

2. From tens place, A is bigger than B, so the result of subtraction is 0. Assume A in tens place is
borrowed by B in ones place. Therefore, A is 1 bigger than B.

The numbers that fit the condition are as follows.

9 8
A = 9 and B = 8. Therefore, A – B = 9 – 8 = 1.
Answer: D
8 9

3. The numbers bigger than 745:

754, 764, 774, 784, 794
There are 5 numbers that we can place in the square.

Answer: B

4. Answer: 320 and 310

5. In a calendar, the number directly below or above indicates 1 week (7 days) difference.
Therefore,
b = 19 + 1 = 20
a = 19 – 7 = 12
c = 19 + 7 = 26

c – b + a = 26 – 20 + 12 = 18

Answer: B
