What to bring
A pen, notebook and a file or folder for keeping papers
Some money for your lunch, drinks and snacks
Your passport. We need to take a copy on the first day. After this, keep your passport safe at home. In the UK, you
don’t need to carry ID at all times
Your certificate of enrolment document (digital or paper)
Travelling to and from school
On arrival day your host will show you the nearest bus stop/ train station from your accommodation
Make sure you know how to get home. Ask Student Services if you need any help with your journey to and from
school
Download citymapper or Google maps app on your smartphone before you start your journey to school. Also make
sure you have internet when you are outside
Buy an Oyster card from a station or newspaper shop and put credit on it; depending on how long you will be in
London you can create a weekly or monthly travel pass
Always leave early to avoid being late as London’s traffic is very unpredictable
On your first day
08.45 Please use the journey plan that was shown to you by your host on the first arrival day
09.00 You will have an induction so you understand the school rules, legal information about studying in the UK
and how to use Twin E-Learning platform. There will be an English test to find out your language level and an
orientation tour around the school
After you have completed your induction, placement test and orientation, you will join your class
Class times
AM General English classes start from 9am and finish at 12:30pm with half an hour break in between
PM Communication Skills and IELTS classes start from 1:30pm and finish at 5:00pm with half an hour break in
between
