Introduction
The application of nanoparticles in several scientific, pharmacological and technological
areas is growing at every moment. That is why this study was developed with a magnetic
gel based on an oil native to the northern region Piper hispidum popularly known as
long pepper and coated with magnetite nanoparticles [1].

Methodology
In the elaboration of this nano compound, magnetic nanoparticles were synthesized
from ferrous chloride, ferric chloride, ammonium hydroxide and water, using the
modified Co precipitation method. The nanoparticle was functionalized with oleic acid
and dispersed under heating up to 90°C. Piper hispidum essential oil polymer was used
as vehicle [1].

Results
Characterization was performed by transmission electron microscopy and UV-Vis-NIR
under ambient conditions. In the analyzes the collide was shown to be stable in the
presence of a magnetic field. [2]

Conclusion
This material has physical properties of elasticity due to the polymer contained in the oil,
intrinsic magnetization in magnetite nanoparticles and thermal insulation.
