Mini Project Spring 2021 Total Marks: 25 Time: N/A

Course Instructor: Mohammad Nowshed Al Nur

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

 Each group will consist of a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 6 members.

 Each group will be assigned one of the projects from the list by the course instructor.
 The Mini Project module will consist of the Project itself, Power-point slides, Project report, Presentation
and Viva on the project.
 Each group has to submit one project file, one presentation (power-point file), one report (word file)
prepared combined with group effort and teamwork and will be marked as a team.
 Each member will be marked individually for their Presentation skills and Viva performance.
 Meeting deadlines is crucial under any circumstances and failure to do so will result in deduction of marks.

LIST OF PROJECTS
1. Design a simplified circuit from a circuit (which consists of two independent sources) which gives
the maximum power to the load.
2. Design a simplified circuit from a given circuit (which consists of two independent sources)
which provides the same value of power to the load.
3. Design a circuit that would give a voltage output which is two third the input.
4. Design a circuit with two voltage sources and one current source which combined will give
100V across a load resistance.
5. Design a circuit which, when connected in parallel with a branch, would limit the current
through that branch by a factor of 0.5.
6. Design a circuit with three voltage sources which combined will give 100V across a load
resistance.
7. Design a circuit with four nodes (excluding ground node) and show that KCL has been
conserved in each of the four nodes.
8. Design a circuit with three loops and show that KVL has been conserved in each of the three
loops.
9. Design a series circuit with 5 resistance in which voltage drop decreases progressively by
15% in each of the resistance connected in series.
10. Design a parallel circuit with three resistive branches that would have one fifth of the input
current to one of the branches.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE PROJECT

 The project has to be done by any of the software used for simulations of electrical circuits.
 The software file needs to be submitted within due time.
 Anyone willing to convert the simulation into a hardware setup has the freedom to do it.
 Preferred software: PSIM, Proteus, PSpice, Simulink.
