To solve the issue of UNKNOWN in the digital signature image (blue ribbon).

Seeing UNKNOWN in the digital signature

If you get the word UNKNOWN in the digital signature (blue ribbon) on
the downloaded deliverable, this is an Acrobat problem and has 3.
nothing to do with SigningHub .

This usually means the list of trusted certificates on your version of Acrobat
is out of date.

Fixing the UNKNOWN in the digital signature

1. To update the Adobe Approved Trust List, open Acrobat Reader and go to Edit menu
2. Choose Preferences
3. Select Trust Manager from list on left hand side

7. After a few seconds you should see this message. Click OK
8. Repeat the digital signing process in SigningHub and the signature should now be valid

Updating Trusted Certificates

If the following appears when user opens Acrobat, the user should tick ‘in the future install automatically’ and click
‘OK’

This will ensure the Trusted Certificates is up to date on their computer
