The readings have brought me to realize how math revolves around our daily lives.
Famously reiterated by many of our Mathematics teachers that Math is everywhere. With this,
we could apply the universality of mathematics, hence, it does not denote any absolute
qualities of truth. For those who were less passionate of mathematics (most often me) or the
lay, as we call may say that the language of math is vague or complicated, we may have come
to realize how math penetrates the way we perceive of things—denoting quantities and
qualities.

The readings presented how math evolves from one field to another, and how one
emerges by binding disciplines into the analysis. Having such development has been evident
enough with every move and decision, coinciding math with movement and probabilities.
Beyond all complexities of figures, it may have come to light the simplification of objects or
thoughts into sets or groups logically. True enough that even unto the oldest discoveries of how
math penetrated life, there is still this constant dynamism and that mathematics has kept on
growing. Hence, there is no such easy or instant way to arrive at solutions. This also comes on
how the numerals which we refer to now have also been a product of constant development
and adaptations from one civilization to another—we may also consider the basics of arithmetic
operations.

As counting could be exhausting and complex at the time, we could see far the
development of numbers is. From counting fingers, and pebbles, eventually leading to the
abacus, as far as the development of calculators or counting machines; From the development
of calculus to statistics, logic, and geometry, we have remained constant hence making us to
realize the importance of mathematics intervening in our daily lives at the moment we open
our eyes even unto our rest.
