Introduction

In today`s society mathematics plays an multifaceted role significantly

impacting various aspects of our daily lives, social interactions and
technological advancements. Contrary, to the misconception that math solely
revolves around numbers and sequences it extends its influence to the
patterns that surround us often unnoticed, by the eye. This essay aims to
delve into the essence of mathematics aiming to foster an understanding of its
practicality, intellectual significance and aesthetic appeal. Throughout this
piece of writing we will explore how mathematical tools seamlessly integrate
into our routines while solving real life problems. Our journey begins by
examining mathematics as an art form that uncovers patterns and harnesses
the power of both deductive reasoning. As we navigate through this
exploration we will uncover the richness and diversity that mathematics brings
to our world (Hipona, 2020).

Synthesis

According to (Srivastava, et al., 2021) It is well-established that mathematics

extends far beyond the realm of numbers, finding valuable applications in
critical domains such as medicine and health. A notable illustration of this
assertion can be found in the utilization of the Fibonacci Wavelet Method to
address the complexities of the Dual-Phase-Lag Heat Transfer Model within
multi-layer skin tissue during hyperthermia treatment. This application
underscores the indispensable role mathematics plays in advancing our
understanding and applications in healthcare and medical science. Because
Fibonacci sequences encompass spirals and patterns found naturally in the
environment, they can also be discerned within the framework of human
anatomy, leading individuals to employ this mathematical approach as a guide
for healthcare. (Persaud & O`leary, 2015).

Mathematics is highly valuable in the field of healthcare, serving as a tool for

creating statistical charts and analyzing extensive datasets to depict the
effectiveness of treatments. Additionally, it plays a critical role in determining
the appropriate dosage of medication for patients. Doctors rely on
mathematical calculations to establish the precise dosage that takes into
account factors such as the patient's body parameters, tolerance to potential
side effects, and other relevant considerations. By ensuring precise
measurements and computations, mathematics enables doctors to provide
the highest quality care to their patients. For instance, a physician might
compute that around 40 out of 100 patients would maintain their health after
undergoing a specific treatment. Such statistical analysis is crucial in
evaluating the suitability of a treatment plan for an individual patient.

In the field of healthcare, doctors and healthcare professionals must have a

deep understanding of precise medication dosages for their patients. They
rely on mathematical concepts such as statistics, percentages, and probability
to make informed decisions and develop effective treatment strategies (Mooc
& et al., 2021). Mathematics, although just a fraction of the broader field,
plays a vital role in solving problems related to health and psychological well-
being. While some may find mathematics challenging, it serves as a precise
tool for identifying and addressing various issues. It can guide us in diverse
directions and provide valuable guidance (Rayan, 2023). It provides a means
to comprehend patterns, quantify associations, and make future predictions.
Mathematics aids in our comprehension of the universe, and we employ the
universe to grasp mathematics. There exists a profound interdependence in
the world, and everyday mathematical applications illustrate these
interrelations and potentialities.

Another statement from (Rayan, 2023) many of us have an innate

understanding of mathematics but struggle to comprehend certain
mathematical topics. We are all learners of mathematics because we possess
problem-solving skills, the ability to reason, and spatial awareness. These
skills apply not only in numerical contexts but also in various mathematical
concepts. Math is ubiquitous; it is present even when we are cooking,
shopping, buying property, or gambling. None of these activities would be
possible without mathematics.

To broaden this study, mathematics also affects our society in terms of

education. Many students dislike mathematics to the point where some will
allow themselves to fail the course. The majority of students also state that
mathematics can't affect their lives in the future, so why bother studying this
course? However, people are argumentative and smart and can defend why
mathematics is important in the modern world (Guttierez, 2013). Mathematics
can enable students to secure a sought-after job in the future, as the modern
world requires individuals who can apply mathematical concepts in their
chosen fields of work (Stephan & et al., 2017).

Given that mathematics serves as the universal language for comprehending

and resolving problems, it is highly appropriate to be in high demand within
the workforce. It extends beyond mere numerical calculations and delves into
the realm of critical thinking, providing individuals with the capacity to
approach and resolve various issues. Moreover, it plays an instrumental role
in shaping the future generation of engineers and countless other students in
our society. Many students have a strong desire to learn mathematics, and as
a result, the education system has been attentive to their needs by introducing
and implementing mathematics in the modern world. The positive feedback
from students indicates that this new approach to teaching mathematics is
more engaging and enjoyable for them.

Furthermore, as per research by (Aquino and Gurat 2017), the introduction

of Mathematics In the Modern World (MITMW) has led to increased student
engagement and enthusiasm for the course. Their study involved surveying
109 students who provided open-ended responses about the impact of
Mathematics in the Modern World on their learning experiences. The results
of the survey revealed a positive consensus among students regarding the
benefits of MITMW, as mentioned in the research conducted by (Bangalan &
Hipona, 2022.) The introduction of Mathematics in the Modern World has
undeniably sparked students' interest in mathematics without subjecting them
to unnecessary pressure. The incorporation of patterns into the curriculum
has particularly piqued students' enthusiasm for this subject matter.

In this synthesis, we emphasize the significance of mathematics in our daily

lives, elucidating its multifaceted utility and the myriad benefits it bestows
upon individuals, particularly within the realms of healthcare and broader
societal contexts. Mathematics in the modern world serves as a powerful
instrument, enabling us to recognize that its scope transcends mere numerical
calculations. Indeed, mathematics is inherently woven into the fabric of our
natural world. To fully appreciate its presence, we must expand our intellectual
horizons, keenly observe our environment, and develop a profound sense of
admiration for this discipline. By fostering a genuine interest in mathematics,
we empower ourselves to seamlessly integrate its principles into our lives,
rendering them not only enjoyable but also alleviating any apprehensions
associated with mathematical concepts (Pagtalunan, 2018).
