 Record and discuss responses and Discuss Mediation
 Get into groups (in character groups)
 Resolving a Problem with many people (conflict resolution A) the groups
should discuss the possibilities and then bring them back to the circle
 With Andy in the circle find a solution (This circle is safe for me as a
mediator, because I am not part of the argument)
 How can we better deal with this situation? Mediation
 After lunch we will resolve through mediation.]

Introduction
 Get into groups of 3 with some form of common feature (e.g. same eye
colour, same house number, etc.)

Peer Mediation
 Discussions – there are many skills fpr peer mediators, but this is the
process – skills are developed over a period of time
 4 stages OHP 13 and Handout 4
 Hand out scenarios of conflict Handout 4
 Look at stage 1, discuss then do it in trios OHP
 The same for stages 2-4 OHPs 15-17

Peer Mediation – Setting it up


 No 1 style as well all schools and needs vary. Need to develop with a
guide
 Run through checklist and ask to complete in schools
