presented. The applications of such knowledge to the design of products,
processes and systems for use by people will be discussed. The
contribution of ergonomics and biomechanics to the improvement of
safety, productivity and quality of work.
D125
Materials II The course is an introductory class for synthetic materials. It seeks to
introduce basic techniques in manipulating materials for prototyping. The
course will focus on Material Driven Design Method to encourage
Ms. Greys students to have a hands-on interaction with the materials at hand. By
Compuesto working with an explorative approach, the students will understand the
material’s experiential qualities, physical properties, the material’s
purpose within a situation and how each material is best suited for a
specific application.

D121 This course builds upon D120 Introduction to Product Design 1 and
Introduction to continues to explore fundamental principles in designing marketable
Product Design products. It covers the design process stages, including empathizing with
II users, defining problems, ideating solutions, prototyping concepts, testing
products, and launching to the market. Students will address everyday
