『Naesosa Temple in Buan boasts a long history spanning 1,500 years』

■Introduction
Founded in the 34th year of King Mu (633) of Baekje, the beautiful temple Naesosa Temple is a representative
traditional cultural heritage in Honam area, boasting a long history of 1500 years until today, not only keeping four
nationally designated cultural assets (Daeungjeon, Goryeo dongjong, a copy of Beophwagyeong, and
Yeongsanhoe altar portrait of Buddha) and two local tangible cultural assets (Seolseondang, three-story stone
pagoda) but also having produced many highly virtued monks since its foundation. In addition, temple stay

『Birthplace of Great Solar Salt, Gomso Salt Field』


■Introduction
The Gomso Salt Field, located at Jinseo-ri, Jinseo-myun, Buan-gun, is one of a few makers of
solar salt. In the Chosun era, they made fire salt (salt made by heating seawater) from Julpo
Bay to Gomso Bay. This Gomso Salt Field was made at the end of the Japanese Ruling but
has produced solar salt since Liberation. Salt is usually produced from the end of March to
October. Salt production is the highest in May and June, and the taste is good. Hence, this time

including the Gomso Salt Field, there are internationally famous tidelands, and as the seawater
of the Gomso Bay contains lots of minerals due to the geographical conditions of the Gomso

that a part of the Seven Mountains Sea, well known for Younggwang Dried Corvinus, comes
deep into the Julpo Bay. Hence, the salted seafood made by using the fresh fish caught at the

『Traditional Culture City, Jeonju’s Representative Korean Style Attraction, Jeonju Hanok
Village』
■Introduction
This is the largest traditional Hanok village at Pungnam-dong, Jeonju, where about 700 Hanoks form a
community and the only downtown Hanok community in Korea. As an important space in the
development stage of Korea’s modern habitation culture, which began in 1910, this village has important
cultural heritages such as Gyeonggijeon, Omokdae, and Hyanggyo and 20+ cultural facilities scattered
over. This is Korea’s representative attraction where such Han-styles as Hanok (traditional house), Hansik
(traditional food), Hanji (traditional paper), Hansori (traditional songs), Hanbok (traditional clothes), and
Hanbang (traditional medicine) are concentrated.

『 Korea’s only Road-Specialized Arboretum, Korea Expressway Corporation Jeonju


Arboretum』
■Introduction
Korea Expressway Corporation's Jeonju Arboretum produces and provides trees to recover
the natural environment damaged by constructing expressways and collecting various species
to use them for nature education. It also studies the preservation, proliferation, and supply of
plants and the development of wild plants. In addition, the arboretum wants to be widely used
as a place to experience the arboretum culture for expressway users and regional residents.

『Jeonju Hanok Rail Bike runs with a new memory of Jeonju Tour』
■Introduction
Jeonju Hanok Rail Bike is a railroad bike made on the closed railroad site of the Ajung Station
to run 3.4 km roundtrip from the Ajung Station to Waemangsil at the speed of 15~20Km/h.
The Ajung Station is located near the Korea’s biggest tour attraction, “Jeonju Hanok Village”

visited by 7 million tourists a year. This is the first rail bike in Korea running downtown in the
entire line. Hence, users can have a pleasant experience in four seasons. Not only individual

■Introduction
‘Lotte World’ is a complex life space where you can enjoy whatever you want at a place and
the first and largest indoor theme park in Korea.
Lotte World Adventure is a massive indoor park composed of rides with the theme of ‘Adventure

city, 'Namsan Seoul Tower' has been a representative attraction of Korea and the symbol of

■Introduction
‘Lotte World Tower’ is the world’s 5th highest building with 123 stories and 555 M in height. It
is a tower that global symbolism, Korea’s traditional beauty, human technology, cutting-
edge, and nature coexist.
‘Lotte World Tower’ embodied the eaves of the traditional Korean housing (Hanok) and is
composed of modern type interiors. Hence, it drew social interests and issues from the
early moment of construction. With the yearly visitors exceeding 13 million, this tower has
positioned itself as a landmark.

『Korea’s Representative Cultural Heritage Containing the History of the Chosun Dynasty,
Gyeongbokgung』
■Introduction
‘Gyeongbokgung(景福宮)’ is the Chosun Dynasty’s legal palace constructed in the 4th year
of Taejo (1395 A.D.) and the cultural heritage representing Korea. ‘Gyeongbok (景福)’

『Healing Shrine where BTS left Footsteps, Wanju BTS Road』
■Introduction
Wanju, Jeonbuk is where BTS stayed a week in 2019 for filmimg summer package and that is
why BTS Road was made. ‘House of Awon’ and ‘Osung Hanok Village’ in Wanju, which
gained even more fame due to the BTS filming were selected as two of ‘five beautiful
constructions in spring’ by the Korea Tourism Organization in April.
The pine tree on the ‘Osungje’ bank, which appears in the BTS pictorial, is also called as

This is the largest traditional Hanok village at Pungnam-dong, Jeonju, where about 700 Hanoks form a

■Introduction
Neungje Reservior is an agricultural reservoir for irrigation, located at Mangyung-ti,
Mangyung-eup, Gimje City, Jeonbuk. Neungje is the old reservoir recorded in the Dongguk
Yeoji Seungram. According to a legend, it had 99 Gui (turn, corner), and if the number of gui
becomes 100, there would be a great national event. Neungje was constructed in 1930 by

In the ‘Gwanghwamun Square’, King Sejong statue was stood in the spirit of achieving a

Wanju, Jeonbuk is where BTS stayed a week in 2019 for filmimg summer package and that is
why BTS Road was made. ‘House of Awon’ and ‘Osung Hanok Village’ in Wanju, which

constructions in spring’ by the Korea Tourism Organization in April.
The pine tree on the ‘Osungje’ bank, which appears in the BTS pictorial, is also called as
‘Bangtan Pine Tree’. The ‘Wibong Mountain Fortress’ is a mountain fortress that was built by
using a valley, and many people take the picture folloing BTS.

A representative course where you can ride for a long time along the bicycle path created by
the Mangyeong River, a river originating from Wondeungsan (713m), which is the boundary
between Dongsang-myeon and Soyang-myeon, Wanju-gun, Jeollabuk-do, passing through

Mt. Mai is over the border between Danyang-ri, Jinan-eup and Dongchon-ri, Marung-myun.
The rock mountain is composed of the west peak, mobong [west peak]: 687.4m) and the
east peak, Bubong [East Peak]: 681.1m). It was initially called Mt. Sokgeum but later called
Mt. Mai because it looked like a horse’s ear. On Oct. 16, 1979, the 16.9㎢area of this
