Four main configuration

• Radio Access Equipment


• MMU -: make “in service”
• RAU -: set admin status & sub band
• IF -: set admin status
• Terminal
• Near end & Far end ID
• Mode(1+0/1+1)
• Radio ID
• Capacity
• Channel Spacing
• Modulation Type
• Number of E1

• Tx & Rx frequency P_005
• Output power Quality and Process-Quality Circle
Steps to configure
 Go to MMU Configure Configure radio link
 Open the “configure radio link ” window
 Save change by clicking “Save”
 Output power mode setting
 ATPC for all 11GHz link
 RTPC for all other frequency
 For links with ATPC setting
o Set “ RF input alarm threshold” = -55dBm
o Set “ Max Output Power ”and
o Set “ Target Input Power ” (for far end)

Activate Ethernet Switch

• Right click Ethernet switch


• Configure
How to Activate
Ethernet switch • General
port • set Aging :300s(default)
• Switch mode: Provider Mode (802.1ad)
• Save

Why provider mode?


o Allows multiple VLAN tags to be inserted into a single
frame.

LAN Configuration
 There is three(3) different LAN type on TN
 LAN connected to TCU
 LAN DCN
 LAN connected to other Transmission Device (like
SP,SFP) .
 Main activities
 Assigning switch port
 Defining switch port role
 Adding port to VLAN for LAN DCN
• Right click on LAN
• Configure

• Select NPU
• Choose RL – IME X/Y/Z
1st Step Create • Assign Packet Link in
WAN RL-IME
• WAN X/Y/Z will appear
automatically

• Right click on WAN X/Y/Z

E1 Configuration

 Traffic routing of PDH interfaces can be done in two ways:


 One interface pair can be routed at a time .
 One or multiple interface pairs can be routed simultaneously .

• Right-click TN
• Configure
Steps to create • Traffic Routing.
Traffic Routing • Select Interfaces
of E1 Interfaces • Under Interface type, select E1 and then
• Select the two units, one from each list, that
contain the interfaces to be routed.
