• 1000 words (not including revised introduction), plus
150 word abstract, and 200 word reflection.

ASSESSMENT 3
• For Part 2 you will provide a full report, including your
revised introduction (part 1).
• You will be provided with the method and results of the
data collection in week 6, and the class will discuss the
results
• Make sure your final submission includes all changes
made to your intro highlighted in YELLOW, and a
section at the end of your paper (before references)
entitled “Reflection”.
• “Reflection” section should include info about changes
you have made/things you have learned from feedback
on your initial submission (part 1)
• In addition to this, your reflection section should be
submitted as part of your Portfolio for PSYC122

• Students can accrue up to 3 Research Participation
credit points by completing a reflective RESEARCH
journal consisting of THREE separate summaries of
journal articles.
• Students will choose from a pool of research articles
that have been selected to represent the different areas
of psychology covered in the subject.

• Alternative to research participation:

• This summary should include


• a) the problem under investigation;
• b) participants and their characteristics;
• c) what experimental method was used;

• Students will also complete a reflection on their
experience reading each article, for instance, the
knowledge gained relevant to understanding human
behaviour in everyday life.

• Using the search function on UOW Library website


(https://www.uow.edu.au/library/), find and read one
journal article that is loosely related to sport
participation and mental health. You should look for an
empirical article. That is, the article should contain an
Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion section,
and report on original data.
