Kyoto Itinerary for 5 Hours

1:00 PM - Arrive in Kyoto Assuming you arrive at Kyoto Station, start by picking up a map and purchasing
a one-day bus pass at the tourist information center.

1:15 PM - Visit Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine Take a train from Kyoto Station to Fushimi-Inari Station and
visit the famous Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine. This is one of Kyoto's most popular tourist destinations,
known for its thousands of torii gates leading up to the top of the mountain. Try to get there before
sunset for some great photo opportunities.

4:00 PM - Visit Gion and Rent a Kimono Take a bus or train from Fushimi-Inari Station to Gion district.
You can rent a kimono at one of the many kimono rental shops in the area and enjoy a walk around the
district, visiting some of the traditional shops, restaurants, and tea houses. This is also a great
opportunity to see the historic streets of Gion, where you may catch a glimpse of a geisha or maiko
hurrying to an appointment.

6:00 PM - Visit Arashiyama Take a train from Gion-Shijo Station to Arashiyama Station and visit the
attractions that are open late, such as the Arashiyama Monkey Park and Togetsukyo Bridge. These
attractions are typically open until around 6:30 or 7:00 PM.

8:00 PM - Return to Kyoto Station Take a train or bus back to Kyoto Station, where you can catch a train
back to Osaka or continue exploring Kyoto if you have more time.

Note: Keep in mind that the opening hours of attractions can vary depending on the season, so be sure
to check the opening times before you go. Additionally, kimono rental and dressing can take up to an
hour, so plan your time accordingly. Finally, be aware that Gion is a residential area, so be respectful of
the residents and the environment while you're there.
