It was already past midnight in the San Fransisco Bay when a thick coat of fog has overran most

of it , and depriving one

from seeing their path. Up in the sky gathered -not so threatening- clouds , light wind budging them ever so slowly, and
allowing the crescent moon to slightly pick through them . Nothing could be heard beside the faint sound of master less
cats rummaging the dumps. Being in the notorious part of the city ; people wouldn't dare to stay out late . Perhaps , they
were in their home , in the lee of any kind of danger , in the lee of his madness.
Like every other night in these late hours , he was there , lurked in the darkness , scrutinizing thoroughly the dark street
,his eyes chasing for the perfect prey . His tall frame was leaned against the dirty brick wall a cigarette balanced in
between his reddish lips . His wild ebony curls were pushed back in a tight bun , his green eyes were glowing almost
abnormally under the moonlight.

He was handsome man , any endowed with the faculty of seeing would have noticed his striking beauty. Any could have
been fooled . No one would've ever thought that a man with a face as angelic as his could be so evil. None would've ever
thought that he could smile in your face while ripping your heart out.

his sharp sculpted face held no emotions whatsoever as he sucked in his cheeks , inhaling the dangerous smoke , letting it
penetrates his lungs . He close his eyes , face facing the sky , as if he was asking it why , why him of all people has to
endorse this curse , before exhaling. Taking yet another long drag from his cancer stick , he let it in a little bit longer , in
hope that it would fill the empty space inside. But unavailing. He knew it wouldn't , hence why he was out in these late
hours ; to eliminate the void . To kill it , just like it was killing his soul, or so what was left of his soul.
Loser
In the dead of the night two laughter could be distinctively heard in a long distance.

A devilish smirk crept on his face , as a sigh of satisfaction escape his lips . finally ! Finally he could do what he was out for.
Finally he could replenish the void inside of him , even if it was for the briefest moment.

The two friends walked in the dangerous street , rather carelessly, laughing about some crude joke a patron of the bar they
had late shift at , told them earlier that night . Their heels were clicking against the pavement as they walk though the vale
of death. They were giggling like two school girls on their way home , so unconscious of the danger that was surrounding
them , so unaware of the Death standing in the corner snickering to itself , shaking its head amusedly and patiently waiting
for the moment it would finally able to come into force . So , so unaware of the disguised predator that was awaiting ten
feet frontwards.

"Can you make it from here ?" Mel asked her best friend ,Rose , as they came to a stop .

"Yeah" Rose nodded , checking the time on her phone ; 12:12 it read

"Are you sure ? I don't mind you spending another night at mine " Mel insisted.

"It's okay Mel. I can't avoid Jake forever, can I plus my roommate must be worrying herself sick about me" she shrugged
off her offer.
Mel nodded , bidding her goodbye and told her friend that they would be seeing each the next day .

Little did she know it was the last time she would have the chance to have her arms around her long dated friend.

Rose glanced one last time at her friend before they parted . Promising her to call as soon as she get home , she started
walking the direction of her home . Toward the predator , toward the beautiful beast.

"Um ehey, it's me I know we left it in a rather confusing zone ? The last time we saw each other but I just wanted to tell you
that I'm sorry .it was utterly my fault , I really fucked up this time and I am sorry . Anyways I'm coming home to talk about it
, to talk about us. I missed you ... I love you Jake, bye " her voice echoed through the vacant street .she hung up then
shoved the phone in her back pocket .

Rosalie Jones ; a girl from a fairly small town . She moved in San Francisco after the death of her father to finish her
studies and to start a new life as a adult. She was very sympathetic girl , that everyone loved to be around.

Her only crime was that she was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

He lets the cigarette slip off his fingers then stepped on it .

"Excuse me miss " he approached her , a smile plastered on his face .

"Ah!" she squealed , startled.

"I'm sorry" he apologized, as if he genuinely felt miserable about it.

"Man , you scared the fuck out of me " she clutched he her stomach, chuckling a little.

"Now , that is no way for such a beautiful lady to speak "

"So I've been to told " she smiles up at him , clearly not immune against charm .

"Do you , by any hazard have a lighter ? I forgot to refill mine " he showed her his lighter to prove his point .

"Ah , sorry I don't smoke " she told him

"Its okay" the smile never once left his face. "I'm Harry" he introduced himself whilst stretching out his hand to her.

She smiled and took his hand . A deadly mistake from her .

He abruptly gripped her small hand , pulling her to him forcefully. Not even giving her the chance to introduce herself. He
never let his victims do so, the less he knew about his victims the better. That was his only rule .
The girl wiggled vigorously in his arms , trying desperately to escape him , and his wicked designs . But to vain, he was too
strong. And realizing that , she started to beg him , pleading him to let go of her and promising that she wouldn't tell a soul
a thing.

He chuckled darkly, tightening his grip around her before he buried his face in the cook of her neck . Slowly , he breathed
her in ,her scent had his eyes rolling in the back of his head . She smelt so sweet , so pure .

"Hmmm" he purred in bliss

"Please " she cried

But he wasn't letting go any time soon , this was his thrilled moment , his nirvana, his felicity. Of he wasn't going to let go .
There was something in the eyes of his victims that click something in him , something about the way they were
beginning him , that gave him this sensation of superiority. This feeling that invaded his being and pulled him into a state of
complete beatitude , he was in love with it .

He couldn't let go .

He was addicted to this feeling that flowed through his vein , this feeling that procured him an ecstasy that any drugs
known could ever procure him .

And he loved it .

"Why are you doing this ?" She whimpered against his .

"Because darling, " he started, pressing his lips against her ear . "It's in my nature , there's nothing I can do about it " he
paused for a moment to hear her cries "I have no choice"

"But we always have the choice"

"That's where you wrong darling " he slide his fingers through her dark silky hair , taking in its beauty . "Not all of us have
this luxury "

"Forgive me" he whispered to her softly .

he placed his hands on both sides of her head ,and with a swift movement he snapped her neck . The soft breeze carried
away the cracking sound along with her last cries.
The man inhaled deeply and let go of the corpse . He backed away , slowly , until he felt the cold brick wall pressed against
his back . It was gone , the thill , the ecstasy , the cries that sounded like music to his ear , everything was gone . And then
, he was back to the cold empty being that he was .

He dug in his the pocket of his coat to take out his cigarettes along with white rose petals. He put a cigarette in between
his lips and crouched down before the poor girl. He looked at it from moment and spread the petals all over her corpse. It
was his signature, his way to say that he was there.

He pick up his lighter that had fallen from his pocket a moment ago from the ground, and light up the cigarette I'm
between his lips .
The
He stared down at the girl one last time , before walking towards his bike that was parked a couple of feet away. Without
letting go of his precious cigarette, he hopped on his bike . He took a drag from it and stare off the distance, thinking...
Thinking about what would it be like if things were different. Chuckling at his 'absurd' thoughts he shook is head and star
the bike . He took off ,the engine roaring in a terrifying manner in the silent night . Once he was a fair distance from 'the
scene ' as he loved to call it , he tossed his almost finished cigarette and smiled to himself ,content that had another girl to
his prize list.
