FADE IN:

EXT. FOREST – (DUSK) – LONG SHOT

We see a blue car driving through the forest with the autumn
leaves falling to the ground. The sky is a pink and orange
colour as it is sunset. The trees are swaying in the wind and we
can see some wildlife enjoying the greenery.

INT. CAR - (DUSK)

We cut to the inside of the car, and we see KAYLIN, an 18- year-
old girl with long black hair wearing a pink hoodie and red
leggings driving through the countryside. To her left, we see
TRIXIE, KAYLIN’s 8-year-old cousin who has dark brown hair that
reaches her hips. She is wearing a white t-shirt and purple
shorts, with cerulean trainers. Both girls are singing along to
the song ‘I Guess That’s Why They Call It The Blues’ by Elton
John.

EXT. CAMPING SPOT – (DUSK)

The car parks on top of a hill at the campsite. The music fades
and we hear the birds chirping. The two girls get out of the
car. TRIXIE jumps out and sprints over to an empty spot in the
field for them to start setting out the tent. KAYLIN walks
around the car and opens the boot, and stacks tent poles and
picnic blankets in her arms. As KAYLIN brings the items over to
the empty patch of grass, TRIXIE gets up and runs to the edge of
the hill, sits and looks out at the view.

KAYLIN: (drops everything on the empty patch of grass) Are you

going to help me or what?

TRIXIE: No

KAYLIN: Are you sure?

TRIXIE: Mmm hmm

KAYLIN: (sighs) Well, that’s a shame, I was going to make

s’mores with you if you help me out, but I guess I’ll have to
eat them all myself then...

TRIXIE: All right

KAYLIN takes one of the giant marshmallows out of the bag and
slowly starts to move it towards her mouth. TRIXIE looks back
and tries to resist, but eventually gives up, rushes towards
KAYLIN, and grabs the marshmallow out of her hand.

We see a montage of the two girls building a tent together,

occasionally interacting with rabbits and any other wildlife
that come across them as they blow up air beds and toast
marshmallows.

INT. DARK TENT - (NIGHT)

TRIXIE is asleep in KAYLIN’S arms. KAYLIN smiles as she places

her cousin on an air bed. KAYLIN sighs and steps out of the
tent.

EXT. COUNTRYSIDE - (NIGHT)

KAYLIN takes a step out of the tent and takes a deep breath. We
hear the sound of grasshoppers. We see through Kaylin’s eyes as
she looks to the left and to the right. As she turns back to the
left, we see a bonfire out of the corner of her eye. She takes a
few steps closer to the site and as she gets closer, we can see
a group of people wearing black standing around the bonfire.

CULT MEMBER ONE: The time has come!

CULT MEMBER TWO: The time for Ash to take on the mantle

We see the terror in KAYLIN’s eyes. We see her hyperventilating

as the cult hold hands.

CULT MEMBER ONE: Ash, you have proven yourself to be more than
worthy of taking over Platypus. All we need is for you to
complete one more task

We cut back to KAYLIN. We see an extreme close up of her face

with her cheeks red and tears in her eyes. We cut back to the
cult

CULT MEMBER ONE: We just need you to find some living mammal and
sacrifice it

CULY MEMBER THREE: We don’t care what it is. It can be a rabbit,

fox, rabbit-fox, or even a human, it doesn’t matter. The only
requirement is for it to taste good
We see a set of extreme close-ups of KAYLIN’s face, as she
screams and runs back up the hill to where the tent is set up.
We hear the rustling of leaves and we see a wide shot of her
running up the hill in the night. KAYLIN trips on a branch close
to the top of the hill. She gets back up and stumbles her way
back to the tent.

INT. TENT - (NIGHT)

She bursts into the tent and we see an extreme close up of

KAYLIN’s face as she stares in horror at an empty air bed.

KAYLIN: Trixie?

TRIXIE is gone. KAYLIN slowly makes her way over to the bed and
rips the covers off. She panics, we see a close-up of her face
as she frantically looks around the tent, quickly dashes
outside, then back inside. KAYLIN falls to her knees and
screams.

EXT. TENT IN THE MIDDLE OF A FIELD - (NIGHT)

We see a wide shot of the countryside. The field is empty other

than the tent. All we hear is KAYLIN’s blood-curdling scream as
the wind keeps blowing in the night.
