    HERE’S the SCOOP

    Week of: September 18th - September 22nd


    LOOK WHAT WE’RE LEARNING
    Writing: We began our Writer’s Workshop this week! We learned how to create a good writing
    environment, how to choose the perfect writing spot, and practiced keeping our stamina up the
    whole time. Next week, we will dive into our personal narrative unit!

    Math: Our first module is going so well! We’ve started to learn all about solving multiplication and
    division equations. The students are doing great using pictures to help them solve.

    Reading: We have done a TON this week during our literacy block! We finished our class read aloud,
    Frindle, which all the students loved. We practiced building our stamina during read to self and
    introduced spelling.

    UPDATES/REMINDERS
    1. Thank you to everyone who came to Open House! It was wonderful to meet you all!

    2. Monday, September 25th is picture day. Be sure to send in your forms or order your pictures
    online!
