Task 1

The bar chart depicts the percentage share of Country B's economy in five distinct industries
between 1995 and 2015, with an estimate for 2025.

It's clear that two industries such as Finance and Oil, coast, and gas have all expanded relatively
rapidly in all three years. The percentage is particularly low in three industries: food processing,
manufacturing, and tourism.

Looking at the graph, we can see that finance is the industry with the largest percentages of 30%,
more than 35%, between 2005 and 2015. In 2025, the Finance industry has the largest percentages
compared to the other two years, which is more than 40%. The Oil, Coast, and Gas industry has a
smaller percentage than Finance. The percentage of The Oil, Coast, and Gas industry is nearly the
same in 2005 and 2015 (about 27%), but in 2015 alone, it is about 5% more than the previous two
years, which is over 35%.

Turning to tourism, the industry had an average percentage of more than 25% in 2005, but
it gradually declined to more than 20% in 2015 and 2025. Manufacturing has had its
percentage fall over the last three years, from around 27% in 2005 to around 15% in 2015,
and then to 5% in 2025. Finally, food processing is an industry with two-year percentages
equal in 2005 and 2025 (more than 10%), with 2015 having the highest proportion (more
than 20%).

Task 2

Today, tourism is growing in popularity, and countries' cultural heritage are being highlighted in order
to attract tourists. Some believe this is done to create money for the community, while others
believe it is done to help countries preserve and conserve cultural traditions. I completely agree with
the second viewpoint, but in reality, it is tough to dismiss the first viewpoint because many
businesses are profiting from tradition and culture.

On the one hand, enticing tourists brings in a lot of money for the country and the people who live
there. Tourists are constantly interested in learning about different cultures and traditions, thus they
are prepared to pay to do so while on vacation. Locals, for example, can sell travelers trinkets or
regional specialties. Furthermore, the government may levy a tax for visiting well-known places such
as the country's historical and cultural heritage sites. Every year, this generates enormous revenues
for countries' economic development. This also helps to preserve and conserve the culture and
traditions of a country.

On the other hand, the growth of culture and tourism has a number of drawbacks. Countries over-
exploit natural resources in order to construct tourist attractions. Some trees are cut down to make
way for tourist destinations, which has a significant environmental impact. Furthermore, some
organizations take advantage of cultural legacy to deceive tourists in order to profit, which has a
negative impact on a country's culture.

In conclusion, it is a good thing to develop tourism to protect traditions and culture.

However, development must go hand in hand with the protection of nature and the
environment. In addition, the government should take measures to handle cases of taking
advantage of cultural heritage for fraud and profiteering.

Task 1

The chart compares the rate of the economy in several industries in country B, which changed
between 2005 and 2015, and gives a forecast for 2025.

What stands out from the chart is that finance is the industry that has taken the lead in percentage
terms and is predicted to be the most important in the future, while the manufacturing sector has
declined sharply for a certain period.

Looking at the information in more detail, we can see that the financial industry has experienced
rapid growth over the past 10 years, from nearly 31% to 36%, and its figure is projected to reach
about 42% by 2025. In contrast, the manufacturing industry saw a rapid decline in percentage, falling
from nearly 21% to 15% and it is expected to decline sharply in the future to only 5%.

In terms of the tourism industry, its ratio has decreased significantly, starting from about 25% in 2005
and decreasing to about 20% in 2015, and is expected to remain unchanged in 2025. Although the
share of food processing has undergone a significant change from 10% to almost 21%, it is also
expected to decline to 10% by 2025. Simultaneously, the trend in the fossil fuel industry has steadily
increased from 25% to almost 31% in 2015 before being projected to decline to its original rate of
decline in 2025 of 25%.

Task 2

Living in today's integrated community with a burgeoning global economy is difficult enough
without having social conflicts. Those who argue that cultural traditions are being obliterated can
be attributed to their utilization as attractions aimed at travelers for financial gain, while others
claim that this is the only way to preserve such traditions. Personally, I believe that both
arguments have some validity, though I would lean towards the latter.

It is undeniable that there are increasing numbers of corporate organizations that defame social
conventions and norms. This means that it is only for the personal benefit of an organization
when the misrepresentation of long-standing values and religious matters. As a case in point,
some organizations have tricked tourists by bringing inexperienced amateur artists to perform
performances that are labeled as traditional art, despite the fact that they are performing in a
bizarre way, not in accordance with traditional culture, which directly poses a risk to the way
foreign people view our country.

Utilizing traditional culture, on the other hand, is advantageous for the tourism company to
contribute to positive outcomes in society. Aside from economic development, this also creates
jobs for each individual, ensuring that both domestic and foreign tourists have a positive
impression and broaden their horizons regarding our skilled culture and customs. To illustrate the
point, when faced with a tricky dilemma, the job market is increasingly competitive, a wide
range of artists are no longer dedicated to traditional arts-related professions, and receiving a
contract to perform from travel agencies will bring them back to their passion and cultural
traditions will not be lost, upholding the cultural identity of the nation.

My own view is that there is truth in both views and people are having a crisis of confidence
about cultural tradition being used for economic purposes. Although there are some illegitimate
organizations that misrepresent and take advantage of the national culture for their own gain, if
properly managed and productively organized, I believe that giving tourists the opportunity to
access the national culture will bring great benefits to our country's economic and spiritual
values.

Task 1

The graph depicts five distinct industries’ rates, with an estimate for 2025, of country B’s
economy in the years 2005 and 2015.

It is obvious that there are fluctuations in 4 of the 5 given industries. Remarkably, one striking
feature is the enormous rise seen in Finance. while manufacturing witnessed a rapid reduction
in both the examined data and the expectations.

Looking at the chart, what stands out is that finance saw the figure approximately around 31% in
2005 and 36% in 2015, which are the highest peaks in both 2005 and 2015 overall. While food
processing reached the lowest feature in 2005 (nearly 11%) and had the greatest rates in 2015,
approximately twice as much as the other two survey years. Manufacturing was at the bottom in
2015 (16%).

Turning to the predicted aspect, it is striking that only finance is expected to rise among all
reported subjects, with the number reaching almost 42%, compared to 5% for manufacturing
which is predicted to have a dramatic drop/to reach its bottom in 20 years as well as being the
lowest overall. Moreover, there are likely to be noticeable declines in the food process with
nearly 11% and 26% for oil, coal and gas by the year 2025. In addition, tourism is the exception
having no significant change, which is going to be equal with the 2015 data in prediction. By
2025, manufacturing, furthermore, is forecast to fall to 5%, four times less than in the first year
of the survey.

Task 2

In this era, lots of people are of the view that cultural traditions are ruined when they are used to
make money from tourists; still, there remain some who believe that using these traditions as
money-making ventures is the only way to save them. From my perspective, I totally agree with
the former view that we are on the verge of losing out cultural traditions

On the one hand, many traditional customs are commercialized and thus lose their originality
and value. Traditional Vietnamese dances, for example, such as the lion dance, which were
traditionally performed only by martial artists on special occasions, are now frequently
performed poorly by amateurs at tourist sites throughout the country. Such modifications will
give foreign visitors the wrong impression about the origin. As a result, they can also make the
dance less meaningful and essential to the locals. Furthermore, the irresponsible behavior of
tourists has severely harmed many historically sacred sites. For instance, many well-known
YouTubers, with limited knowledge, had a visit and made videos including misinformation about
cultural tourist destinations.

On the other hand, some people insist that monetizing from cultural traditions is the best
measure to protect them because the revenue could be used to provide funds for restoration
and protection efforts. However, this can lead to the loss of main crucial values and many
challenges from wear and tear. For example, tourists carve their names on rock art, many local
people are forced to move from the town’s center to live on the outskirts because of the massive
influx of tourists,... Instead, the Vietnamese government should build more museums around the
country that solely exhibit examples of ethnic minority cultures in an attempt to protect cultural
values without affecting the lives of these ethnic people and their heritage, while also gathering
lots of public attention and support.

In conclusion, I am entirely on the side that cultural traditions are destroyed by

commercialization. Granted, Generalizing customs create an impressive income and can help
people to explore more about cultures, but there is no reason why we should abuse and ruin
them. Personally, I think individuals and governments have to recognize and accept
responsibility for balancing local cultures and the economy as well as integrating cultural tourism
into the service industry.

Task 1
The graph gives information about the proportion of Country B's GDP in five distinct
industries between 1995 and 2015, with an estimate for 2025.

It can be seen from the graph, the sectors have fluctuated over the years. Remarkably, the
financial sector has continuously held the top position for 10 years and it is estimated that
2025 continues to grow.

Looking at the graph, in 2005 the financial sector held the highest position with 32%. The
second was tourism and oil, coal and gas equal with 27%. Thirdly, manufacturing accounted
for 21% and finally the food processing industry with 10%. Over the next 10 years, the
proportion of sectors that have made specific changes in finance remains at the top with
37% approximately 5% higher than that of 2005. Food processing is the percentage with
21%. Meanwhile, tourism showed the same trend. Next, manufacturing accounted for 16%
down from 10 years ago. Lastly, the lowest proportion rate was witnessed in oil, coal, and
gas with 5%.

As the graph shows, 5 sectors are predicted to change their rates by 2025. Considerable, the
financial industry still holds the highest position over the years. In contrast, the
manufacturing sector has continuously decreased and will maintain the same trend until
2025, only 5%, the lowest among the 5 industries. The processing industry has always
fluctuated over the years. The tourism industry is predicted to hold its value at 21%, the
same as in 2015 but down 10% from the first year of the survey. Finally, the mineral industry
has a figure of 27%.

Task 2

Some people believe that when cultural traditions are employed as money-making tourist attractions,
they are destroyed. Some argue that this is the only way to preserve such customs, myself included.

On the one hand, the promotion of the tourism industry is a means of preserving the country's
traditional culture. Furthermore, tourism activities provide a remarkable profit, which helps to
enhance the economy. Tourism is one of the three major areas in which the government invests
heavily in infrastructure development, and transportation contributes significantly to the country's
revenue. Besides, workers might find a variety of jobs in the tourism industry. The development of
transportation, financial services, entertainment, and eating services has aided tourism. At the same
time, travel promotes culture by allowing Vietnamese cultures and traditions to be shared with
worldwide acquaintances, resulting in numerous opportunities for Vietnam to collaborate. For
example, due to the attractions of attractive areas, Vietnam has attracted a large number of
domestic and international tourists in previous years.

On the other hand, the tourist business in Vietnam is expanding, providing several development
prospects in a variety of areas for our country but bringing to them some undesirable consequences.
Because the infrastructure at our tourist locations was not yet qualified to satisfy demand at the time,
travelers were dissatisfied with the service quality. Furthermore, public and tourist knowledge are
low, resulting in negative environmental consequences. The tourism industry's human resources
have not fulfilled the standards, while an increase in the number of tourists is a good thing, the
tourism industry's human resources are insufficient to meet the industry's needs. Because of a
shortage of tourism professionals with competence, abilities, and knowledge of other languages, the
quality of tourism has not reached a high level, causing many tourists to be dissatisfied.

My own opinion is that there is truth in both views. I would say that I belong more to a head, although
I admit I would struggle with the negative environmental consequences.

Given is a bar chart foreseeing the percentage data of the Brazilian economy dominated by five key
economic sectors from 1995 to 2015, with projections for 2025.

The most striking thing in the actual data, there are 2 areas with a slight increase of about 5%,
namely finance, fossil fuel in the period 2005-2015, compared to food processing with a higher
growth rate of 10%same kind Period

Turning next with forecasts for 2025, out of the 4 sectors except finance, the food processing and oil,
coal and gas industries return with the same percentages of 11% and 26% respectively. in 2005.
The financial sector is forecast to remain at 5% growth as in the previous two time points, while
Manufacturing is expected to contract twice as much as the financial sector at 10%.

In short, it is observable that there was an upward trend in the fiscal industry in Brazil during the
period designated. and parallel with it is the rapid decline of the manufacturing industry in the 20-
year period from 2005

Task 2

Nowadays, the places to visit on the historical sites, the cultural heritage sites are often used for
tourism purposes. But on this issue, there are two sources of conflicting opinions, some people think
that it can destroy the above heritages, others believe this is the best way for promoting and
preserving traditions. ethnicity, follows my perspective, if used properly, everything has its own
benefits.

Firstly, the augmentation of cultural tourism is one of the driving forces of the national economy, so
the government has regulations as well as budget to elevate the maintenance of their cultural
quintessence.More If there is a certain cultural feature that magnetize visitors, that tradition will be
imprinted in their memory and even be promoted more widely. In a similar case, when coming to
“Ong De” tourist area in Vietnam. Guests will be able to wear Ba Ba dresses and participate in
human games of Vietnam, if they win, they will be rewarded with fruits such as guava, mango,
pomelo. This activity attracts tourists interested in Vietnamese culture.
In contrast, there are also many risks on display. Along with the trend of globalization, travel
companies often build more entertainment facilities inside historical sites such as amusement parks,
shopping malls, even areas just for the purpose of "selfie". For this reason, many tourists are
frustrated because they just want to see what is the most rustic feature that has existed for hundreds
of years. Moreover, some tourists have poor awareness and perform acts of making cinnamon
umbrellas indirectly related to the material culture, for instance, the landmark marking Fansipan peak
was engraved with the words "Tu love Nhung" by a couple of men and women, causing great
cultural and spiritual damage to the people here. For this reason, a lot of damage cannot be
foreseen by the people here. caused by tourists.

Overall, making money from historical sites, cultural traditions can bring certain limitations. But for
me personally, these money-making traditions are actually saving cultural features from the
forgotten.

30. B2014244 Huỳnh Thị Cẩm Ngân

Task 1
The bar chart demonstrates the improvement of the various industries (finance, food
processing, and manufacturing, tourism, oil, coal, and gas) towards the economy of country B
following the percentages in the period 2005, 2015 and future predictions for the year 2025.
Overall, the finance industry continues to be the dominant factor contributing to the economic
growth of the country, and it is predicted to increase in the near future. On the other hand, the
manufacturing industry's contribution has decreased over time, and there is evidence that it will
continue to decline in the coming years.

The food processing industry was responsible for accounting for 10% of the nation's
economy for the period of 2005 and saw an increase, but it is set to fall back to where it was two
decades ago in 2025. Accordingly, the oil, coal, and gas industry saw a 5% uptick in 2015, but its
contribution would reduce in 2025 and come back to where it was 20 years ago. The tourism
industry has grown rapidly in 2005, there was approximately 25%, but the percentage has fallen
slightly by 5% and is expected to remain the same in the next decade.

The finance industry, which contributes significantly to the national economy, has
remained the highest contributing factor until 2005, at possibly a bit more than 30%, and its
proportion would be expected to increase approximately by 10% in 2015. It's a completely great
signal in the manufacturing industry, where it's predicted that by 2025, the contribution will be
increased three times what it was in 2005.

Task 2
Nowadays, while some argue that cultural traditions are increasingly used, especially as
visitors gravitation to earn money, it will destroy our ennobling traditions.A stream of opposing
opinions said that this action is the sole idea to maintain cultural traditions. From my perspective,
both qualities are of great significance in equal measure, but I agree with maintaining the
national tradition by this method.

On the one hand, there are various reasons why utilizing cultural traditions to appeal to
guests is resuscitating custom. It not only develops the country's tourism industry but also brings
significant economic benefits, leading to an improvement in diplomatic relations between
countries around the world. Moreover, from a personal perspective, it can be argued that this
method also aims to propagate the beauties of cultural traditions to people at home and abroad,
thus can cultivate and evolve the national culture.

On the other hand, simultaneously, it also survives the opposing view that this is an act
that be put at stake and damages cultural traditions. It is not too difficult for us to understand
why this originated opinion, mainly due to the consciousness of people today or the abuse of
cultural traditions by some people with bad intentions. For instance, specifically, cultures may
face a dilemma because of the convenience of tourists when intentionally using foul languages to
comment or belittle. Nevertheless, the worry is not too necessary because the policy of
protecting our country's cultural traditions is increasingly being enhanced.

In conclusion, whilst there are potential problems with using cultural traditions to make
money, its benefits are enormous. So, I agree with this operation entirely.
