Production and Operations Management (OMT 8501)

Assignment Instruction:

 Each group will answer the following questions.

 Each member of the group will answer the Question Number Six individually.
 You have to provide the assignment in a report format (typed)
 If you take any information from available resources you have to provide reference.
(APA Style)
 It is encouraged to write in your own language and from your own understanding.
 You have to provide answer on the basis of course content/lessons/chapters.
 Plagiarism is strictly prohibited. If found any indication of that, you will get zero
regardless of anything.
 Total mark of the assignment is 15(Fifteen)
 Assignment Due Date: TBA.
 Late submission is not allowed.
 You have to give a present on the Due date.

Presentation Guideline:

 Each group will get 10 minutes to present their presentation including Question and
Answer session.
 Formal attire is required for all presenters. ( Male: Formal Shirt, Formal Trouser and
Tie; Female Student: Professional attire)
 Each member of the group has to participate in the presentation equally.
 Mark will be provided individually. Total Mark of the presentation is 5(Five).

Assignment Content:

1. What is Operations Management? Explain with example.

2. Compare and Contrast service and Manufacturing Operations with example.
3. Choose any scope of operations Management and how it’s been implemented in your
respective organization.
4. Identify the improvements or changes occurred in any organization by applying any
scopes of operations Management.
5. What are the flaws of operations Management or challenges?
6. What have you learnt from operations Management and how it is going to impact your
professional career?
