CULTURAL NIGHT GALA
This event aims to share the rich and diverse cultural heritage of
Syria that has been long forgotten due to the country being in
one of the largest refugee and displacement crises of our time.
Before it was recognized as a war-torn country, Syria was a
traditional society with a long cultural history that was home to
a variety of religious and ethnic groups.
The purpose of this event is to collect funds to support Syrian
Refugees who are accommodated in the refugee camps along
the Jordan-Turkey-Lebanon border during the holy month of
Ramadan. Among the items distributed are the Ramadan Food
Aid Pack, Zakat donations, Eid gifts and hot meals.
 The targeted funds would be RM 212,000.00 from ticket selling
which will be sold through table purchases. Each table comes
with ten (10) seats and the price of a table starts at RM
1,000.00. The night will be filled with music, entertainment and
good food. The performers of the night include UNIC, Rabbani,
Mr. Hasan Al-Akraa; the founder of Al-Hasan Volunteer Network
as well as Syrian students who will be performing traditional
Syrian music and dance.

The venue for this event is Setia City Convention Centre which is
just 40 minutes from the Kuala Lumpur City Centre and Kuala
Lumpur International Airport. This venue is ideal as it is located
at the heart of the township, where a large range of dining,
recreation and amenities are easily accessible.

Project Rational

Situation & Needs Syria’s conflict, which has lasted more than a decade, has devastated
Analysis the country as well as its citizens. The conflict had far-reaching
effects that continue to impact its people until today. While the
world enjoys the luxury of celebrating Ramadan in the comfort of
their homes, Syrian refugees who sought asylum in the refugee
camps barely have enough necessities to survive on. Though many
countries have tried to provide aid and support every year, the
supply of necessities are still needed as the camps have become
overcrowded throughout the years.
Reasons for The humanitarian situation of the Syrian refugees in the border of
Beneficiary Selection Jordan-Turkey-Lebanon remains dire to date. While also struggling to
seek safety, hundreds of thousands of Syrians are still lacking
essentials such as food, clean water and medical care. As they enter
the holy month of Ramadan, it is heart-rending that they would not
have enough food and necessities to sustain themselves as well as
their loved ones.
Proposed Intervention Global Ehsan Relief hopes to provide aid in the form of Ramadan
Food Aid Pack that could feed refugee families for one whole month.
In addition, we also plan to distribute Zakat donations as well as Eid
gifts for the vulnerable refugee families. Global Ehsan Relief also
aims to give out hot meal packages throughout the holy month in
order to ensure that these families have enough to eat.
Goals and Objectives The purpose of this event is to introduce the rich culture of Syria
before it was only recognised as a war-torn country. The fund
collected from this event will then be used to support the Syrian
refugees in the border of Jordan-Turkey-Lebanon during the month
of Ramadan. The fund raised will be used to buy food for the
vulnerable refugee families throughout the holy month. In addition,
Global Ehsan Relief will also provide monetary assistance in the form
 of Zakat and Eid money to help reduce the impact of their financial
burdens.
Risks Associated • Falls – The involved members might fall from a height while
decorating for the event. Make sure that the equipment used
is in good condition and prioritize safety at all times.
• Slips and trips – The involved members or guests might trip
over the carpet or slip on the floor while walking. During the
event, keep the ground clear and clean up spills as soon as
possible.
• Event delay – Performers might cause delay in case of traffic.
Before the event, make sure to remind drivers to be on time
and ask for updates when necessary.
• Target profit not achieved – Manage costs wisely and ensure
that the marketing and sales efforts were maximized before
the event.

(Logistics) order to ensure that the event runs according to schedule.
