The Goethe-Institut Bangalore will be conducting all classes for the period mentioned in the
following teaching formats:
LEVEL TEST
Online Live, Classroom sessions and Blended Learning
Through the Level Test, we can determine your level, create learning goals with you, and choose
the best course. 1. Online Live - 100% live session based online virtual classroom training

All candidates applying for a course higher than the A1 level are required to have an Examination
Certificate or a course Participation Certificate of the previous level that is less than 6 months
old from a reputed institute from the date of new course registration.
Candidates may be required to take a Level Test in case of the following:
• Possession of a Goethe-Institut Examination Certificate and/or Participation Certificate that
is more than 6 months old, or
• Possession of an exam or course participation certificate from any other institute
(not recognised by Goethe-Institut).
The Level Test is an online test consisting of 70 multiple-choice questions.
The Level Test is free of charge.
• The Online Live German course is a self-directed learning process supported by one or
two tutors for the entire course duration with regular feedback and individual learning
tips.
• You will learn flexibly at your own pace, wherever you happen to be, and can save on
travel time.
• You will learn and practice using various formats on the Goethe-Institut / Max Mueller
Bhavan learning platform using professional exercises and state of-the-art methods to
practice reading, writing, speaking and listening.
• Includes individual and group assignments
• Enables interaction with other students in virtual classroom

AUTONOMOUS LANGUAGE ABILITY

Overview of Intensive Weekday / Weekend and Super Intensive courses:
Can understand a wide range of challenging, longer texts and also grasp implicit
meanings. Can express him/herself spontaneously and fluently without having to
search for words frequently and noticeably. Can use the language effectively and
flexibly in his/her social and professional life or in training and studies. Can make
clear, structured and detailed statements on complex topics and apply various means
of text association appropriately in the process.

Books to be purchased separately online by participant for Online Live and Classroom sessions.
Students may join the next level course with the help of a course participation certificate or an
exam certificate of the previous level.

Can effortlessly understand practically everything which he/she reads or hears. Can
summarize information from various written and spoken sources, logically recounting
the reasons and explanations. Can express him/herself spontaneously with high
fluency and precision and also make finer nuances of meaning clear in more complex
