How To Use Line Command

 Type L for Line in Command bar & press enter.


 Click on screen to fix the starting point of line.
 Press F8 to make the line straight.
 Type line length e.g. 10’ then press double enter.

How To Use Polyline Command

 Type PL for polyline in command bar & press enter.


 Click on screen to fix the starting point of line.
 Press F8 to make the line straight.
 Type line length e.g. 10’ then press double enter.

Difference Between Line & Polyline

 Line is just one straight segment, Polyline is a series of segments.


 Polyline is a 3D line where line is a 2D figure.

If a diagram has been drawn with polyline and line, if we click on the
diagram made with polyline whole diagram will be selected where line
didn't make it.

Conversion Of Line & Polyline

We can convert Lines to Polylines with PEDIT command and


Polylines to Lines with EXPLODE command.

How To Use Distance Command

 Type Di for Distance in command bar & press enter.


 Click on starting point of line.
 Click on ending point of line.

How To Use Erase Command

 Type E for Erase in command bar & select the object.


 Press enter.

OR

 Select the object by clicking through cursor


 Then press Del Key.

How To Use Circle Command

 Type C for Circle in command bar & press enter.


 Click on screen to fix the center of a circle.
 Type radius value of the circle & press enter.

How To Use Arc Command

 Type A for Arc in command bar & press enter.


 Click on starting point.
 Click on mid point.
 Click on ending point.

How To Use Copy Command

 Type CO for Copy in command bar & press enter.


 Select the object you want to copy & press enter.
 Click on the object & shift it to required place.

How To Use Move Command

 Type M for Move in command bar & press enter.


 Select the object you want to move & press enter.
 Click on the object & shift it to the required place.

How To Use Trim Command

 Type TR for trim in command bar & press enter twice.


 Select the line you want to cut.

How To Use Offset Command

 Type O for offset in command bar & press enter.


 Type Distance e.g. 9” or 20’ & press enter.
 Click on the line you want to make offset.
 Click on the screen.

Points to Remember

 F8 key is known as ORTHO which is used to straight up the line.

 To end up any command each time press enter twice or press ESC
key so the cursor becomes free.
