Polycom Grease Barrel Changing Page 1 of 1

1.0 PURPOSE: To establish standard operational procedure for Polycom grease barrel change.

2.0 SCOPE: This procedure covers all persons coming inside JK Cement Works, Jharli premises

3.0 RESPONSIBILITY: Mechanical Department

4.0 DESCRIPTION:

4.1 Loosen the drum lid bolt first.

4.2 Close the FRL air supply valve and then open drum lid lifting air supply valve, lid will be
lifted.

4.3 Take out the follower plate and put the follower plate in new drum, install the new drum
in position.

4.4 Close the main air supply valve, then open FRL air supply valve all air will be released
from drum lifting cylinder and lid will come down slowly.

4.5 Be sure to align the pump and level sensor with the hole provided on follower plate.

4.6 After the lid properly fitted to drum tighten the lid bolt.

4.7 After drum changing complete close the drum supply valve then open both main air
supply valve and FRL air supply valve check the pressure gauge on FRL for proper
pressure
