DURING IMMERSION
Day 1 - knowing the place and the people First day of work of immersion knowing
a work First work sorting paper and observing Today was my first day of work
immersion at the Motor pool. As soon as I arrived, I was greeted by the warm and
welcoming receptionist who showed me around the premises. After the tour, I was
and approachable. I felt comfortable and at ease around them, which made me
excited to start working. My first task for the day was sorting papers. Although it
may seem like a mundane task, I understood its importance in keeping the
the papers, and I learned a lot from their approach and techniques. After finishing
the paper sorting, I was given the opportunity to observe my colleagues' work. I was
amazed by their dedication and expertise in their respective fields. They were all
hardworking and efficient, yet still managed to maintain a positive attitude and
excited about this new journey and eager to learn more. I had the opportunity to
observe one of my coworkers change the oil in one of our company's machines. I
have read about oil changes in the past, but I had never seen it done in person. My
coworker was very knowledgeable and thorough, explaining each step of the
process and the importance of oil changes for the longevity of the machine. I was
impressed by how organized and methodical he was throughout the entire process.
we work with operate and how to maintain them properly. I realized that even
seemingly simple tasks like an oil change require attention to detail and careful
execution. After the oil change was complete, I took some time to review the
see how different parts of the machine require different types of maintenance and
how they all work together to keep the machine running smoothly. And they
demonstrated how to remove the brake pads and rotors from the car and showed
me how to inspect them for wear and tear. We then installed new brake pads and
rotors, making sure that everything was securely in place. Overall, today was a
great learning experience. I am grateful for the opportunity to observe and learn
from my coworkers, and I look forward to putting this knowledge into practice in the
future.
repair a car that had stopped working on the side of the road. The car owner
explained that the engine was making strange noises and was not running
correctly. I observed my mentor as he inspected the engine and determined that the
fuel pump was faulty, which prevented fuel from reaching the engine. We replaced
the fuel pump, and after checking other components like the radiator and water
pump, we did a test drive to ensure everything was working correctly. During the
repair process, my mentor explained the different parts of the engine and how they
work together. This experience was a great learning opportunity for me, and I was
proud to contribute to the repair process. It also taught me the importance of proper
maintenance and how neglecting it can lead to more significant problems in the
future. Overall, it was a fulfilling day, and I am grateful for the opportunity to learn
from my mentor. I can't wait for what the rest of the week has in store for me. Until

bulldozer, and it was in a sorry state. One of the wheels was damaged, and the
bulldozer barely move We had to be extra careful when installing the new wheel,
making sure it was tightly secured and that it was the right fit for the bulldozer. We
then tested the bulldozer by moving it around, and it was working perfectly. It was
a satisfying feeling to know that we were able to fix the bulldozer and get it back to
work. The process took us a few hours, but we managed to complete the repairs.
It was a great learning experience, and I am grateful to have been a part of it.

battery charger, and wrencheswe checked the voltage and amperage levels of the
battery and found them to be well below the recommended levels. This confirmed
our suspicion that the battery was in need of recharging. We proceeded to attach
the battery to the charger and followed the manufacturer's instructions for
recharging the battery. We then reconnected the battery to the "bako" machinery
and conducted a test to ensure that it was working properly. We were pleased to
find that the machinery was working perfectly. feeling satisfied that we had
successfully repaired the machinery battery and restored the "bako" machinery to
proper working order. Overall, our work immersion experience was both
challenging and rewarding. We were able to put our technical skills to the test and
team of mechanics and engineers worked diligently to get the bulldozer back on
track. We soon discovered that the starter motor was the issue and needed to be
through each step of the repair. Through this experience, I gained a better
and hard work of the team, and it was inspiring to witness how they worked

Day 7 Today was the seventh day of my work immersion, and it was another
exciting day at the office. Today, I spent most of my time working with the
mechanics and learning more about their work. In the morning, I watched the
mechanics work on various machines, including some large engines. They were
performing maintenance and repairs, and I was amazed at how knowledgeable and
skilled they were. They were able to diagnose problems quickly and efficiently, and
they knew exactly what to do to fix them. Later in the day, I had the chance to help
the mechanics with some tasks. They taught me how to use some of the tools and
equipment that they use every day, including wrenches, sockets, and torque
wrenches. They also showed me how to properly tighten bolts and screws to
ensure that everything was secure. One of the most exciting things that I did today
was to help the mechanics replace a faulty part on a machine. I was able to help
take the machine apart, remove the old part, and install the new one. It was a
challenging task, but with the guidance of the mechanics, I was able to do it
successfully. Overall, today was a great day, and I learned a lot about mechanics. I
was able to see firsthand how they diagnose and repair problems with machines,
and I even got to help with some tasks. I am looking forward to learning more in the
day of my work immersion at the engine dumpsite, and it was another busy day.
This time, I had the opportunity to work on a bulldozer engine, which was a bit
intimidating at first, but also exciting. The bulldozer's engine was much larger than
the car engines I worked on before, and it required a different approach. The
mechanic I was working with explained to me the differences between car engines
inspecting the engine and identifying the problem. The bulldozer had been sitting
idle for a while, and the starter and filter needed to be replaced. The mechanic
explained to me how to identify the parts that needed to be replaced and how to
remove them. The process of removing the old starter and filter was more
complicated than the previous engine I worked on, but I was up for the challenge.
assigned to clean an engine and help with the maintenance of the city hall and the
fire department. Additionally, I helped repair a toktok for the fire department. It was
my first time doing these tasks, and I was excited to learn new skills. We started
the day by cleaning the engine. We began by removing any debris or dirt from the
engine bay, then used degreaser to remove any oil or grease build-up. We used
brushes and rags to scrub the engine parts and then rinsed it with water. It was
satisfying to see the engine looking clean and new again. Later in the day, we
worked on repairing the toktok for the fire department. We assessed the damage
and identified the parts that needed to be replaced. We replaced the damaged
parts, such as the brakes and wheels, and tested the vehicle to ensure it was
working properly. It was a challenging task, but I was proud to be able to contribute
to the fire department's needs. Overall, it was a fulfilling day, and I learned a lot
about engine cleaning, maintenance, and repair. I am excited to see what new

gaskets. We also cleaned the filter housing and the filter element holder to ensure
that the filter worked efficiently. It was a challenging task, but it was also fulfilling to
see the filter in good working condition again.Overall, it was a fulfilling day, and I
learned a lot about the importance of filter maintenance in public spaces. I also
gained new skills in repairing filters, which I never thought I would learn.
