Rimac Campus is a huge project that Mate Rimac, founder of the Croatian electric sports car
company Rimac Automobili, and his team have been working on for eight years already and will be
working on in the next couple of years.

Project is now in construction

They plan to build an research and develop production and testing facility for two and a half
thousand employees which will work on developing design produce and testing their products
battery systems, powertrain systems, and many other things

Rimac Campus is located in Kerestinec, Croatia and this was the perfect location to build it because
it's nearby our current location, it's in front of the capital city of croatia but in the middle of nature

Land plot size is 200 000 square meters

Mate Rimac chosed to work with the croatian architects 3LHD studio which will be his partners in
developing

3LHD was founded 27 years ago by five architects: Marko Dabrović, Saša Begović, Tatjana Grozdanić
Begović, Silvije Novak and Paula Kukuljica

Today 3lhd has more than 45 employees and many great projects.

3lhd team highlighted five values of the rimac company: speed, growth, balance, opennes and family.

Rimac is the company that produces super fast cars so they projected the track around the

Campus that can feature speed and things related to speed

They also needed to give the rimac company space for growth and advancement

3lhd team said that the balance of the campus can be found in a way how the cars, humans, nature
and animals can coexist together

This campus is not just gated community or all the factories you cannot approach but here you can
take a peek from the outside how the cars are made

Rimac team relate to each other like a family something that makes a family is having lunch together
so the central piece of the campus is a big restaurant where all the employees meet but they also
meet with the guests. Also they projected a kindergarten for employees kids.

Apart from having a race track, a kindergarten, a restaurant it will also have a museum and welcome
all visitors to take a tour of the factory and visit car museum that will not only represent Rimac cars
but the whole car development

sustainability today has become an essential part of modern architecture so they tried to minimize
the negative environmental impact of campus and factory by efficiency and moderation in the use of
materials energy development space and the ecosystem at large

They are trying to make the buildings as compact as possible to reduce the losses of the energy
through facade also to keep it cool by overshadowing the windows so we don't have large solar gains
as energy source we are using energy from the sun solar collectors on the roof then heat energy from
the groundwater and exchange air to air heat pumps so all of this energy should be renewable

Here we can se office building or reduce and production building which has

two atriums and each of them is unique. one is planted with inside trees and and the other one is like
big assembly hole for all engineers so they can all meet and they made those atriums so engeeneers
can have natural light in the offices from two sites
