E-Commerce (LadyLux)

Problem Statement

The problem that many women face when shopping for personal care products like
makeup, body lotions, pills, pads, and other similar items is a lack of privacy and
embarrassment. This can be due to the judgment or stigma attached to these products
or the discomfort of discussing such items with a salesperson, particularly if the
salesperson is male. As a result, many women may feel reluctant to purchase these
essential items or may resort to buying substandard products to avoid the
embarrassment. This can have a significant impact on their health, comfort, and overall
well-being.

Solution

The objective of this project is to create an e-commerce platform that addresses these
challenges and provides women with a safe, convenient, and discreet way to purchase
personal care products. The platform will offer a wide range of products, competitive
prices, and fast, reliable delivery. Additionally, it should provide a user-friendly interface,
confidential ordering, and the option to pay securely and discreetly. By addressing these
challenges, the platform can help to improve the lives of women and provide them with
the products they need to maintain their health and well-being.

Development Process

The development process of our ecommerce shop using Flutter went through several
phases mentioned below:

i. Planning: This is when we define the purpose, objectives, and features of our
ecommerce shop.
ii. Design: This is the stage when we created a wireframe of your ecommerce shop.
iii. Development: This is the stage when we started coding the frontend and backend of
our ecommerce shop.
iv. Testing: This stage involves testing our ecommerce shop to ensure that it functions
as intended e.g performance, functionality, and security testing.
v. Deployment: This stage involves deploying our ecommerce shop to a server or
cloud-based platform so that it is accessible to users.
Challenges Faced

While developing an ecommerce shop using Flutter, These are some of the challenges
we encountered:
UI Design:
1. Creating a visually appealing and user-friendly UI design is one of the challenges we
faced whilst creating the app.
Database Management:
2. Ensuring that our ecommerce shop is compatible with various platforms and devices.

Functionality:

Our ecommerce shop built has the following functionalities:

i. User Registration: Users are able to create an account with our ecommerce
shop.
ii. Product Catalog: Our ecommerce shop displays a catalog of products with
their prices and descriptions.
iii. Shopping Cart: Users are able to add products to a shopping cart and make
purchases.
ivv. User Reviews: Our ecommerce shop allows users to leave reviews and
ratings for products they have purchased.
vii. Search Functionality: Users are able to search for products by name,
category, or price range.
